Iirc, He got hit into boards and broke collarbone m. Never seemed to be the same.
Yes agree
Some nobody that the Penguins brought up for the game against us.
I think when Sullivan was fairly new as coach,

** going by a foggy red wine memory

Sestito was brought up because the last time the Penguins played the Jets, Malkin hit Wheeler and it was not what you would call a clean hit. The Penguins were fearing retribution and in classic 1970s style, they called up Sestito. He's a piece of shit that should never have made it to the bigs.

He was one of the first Jets to re-sign long term when the prospects of winning were still dim. He liked being paired up with Big Buff and how could you blame him, he took a lot less abuse because of him. But he also got to play defense while Buff roamed...smart player, I wonder how Thrasher fans would compare him to Havelid.

Tom Sesitio. Was strictly brought up to fight Buff but Buff refused to engage. So the piece of shit thought it was good to charge right into his back against the boards. f*** Pittsburgh.

I recall that Maurice healthy scratched him from what would have been his last Jets game and last NHL game. What a way to end your time with your NHL club.
Maurice made some interesting lineup choices that game if I recall.

I'm convinced that him using a long stick was why a lot of his decorators hated him

To be fair, I think his play cratered in his last season, due to age and injury.

The part I hate is that to some that erases the many years of superb play he provided while a Jet.

He'll always be one of the best to wear 2.0 in my eyes.

Unfortunately, Enstrom is the symbol of TNSE's misguided loyalty

Giving up a top 15 pick for ONE SEASON of 33 year old Enstrom and Marko Dano is almost as stupid as trading Ehlers for Ristolainen

Nick Suzuki would have solved a lot of problems on this team - and saved us a lot of wasted TD draft picks

It was speculated that Jets were high on Liljegren for our pick. I believe it was garret who mentioned it and he had contracts that were well positioned re Jets draft room back then.

Your point still stands though.

Lots of fans disliked this guy due to his unwillingness to shoot at times. Can't say I disagree there but he was a very solid defenseman IMO.

Excellent defensive game and I got the impression he seemed to like playing in Winnipeg.

Liljegren would likely have been in our lineup for a couple years now... instead of Schmidt - I suspect his development trajectory would have been different with the Jets

I haven’t watched him much in Toronto.
