Pop tarts are the Gobots of toaster pastries. Far inferior product.

I don't use the icing..too decadent. We're talking breakfast here..i feel it crosses that line and turns it into dessert.

Toaster strudels are desserts. They don't become breakfast food by removing the icing. Apple pie doesn't become breakfast by reducing the ice cream, strudels are no less sugary.

There's this odd idea that placing something in a toaster magically transforms it into breakfast. It doesn't. Waffles are toasted cake. There's no dietary baptism going on inside toasters that confers a breakfast soul unto a strudel.

Higher standards when it comes to toasted pastries, anyways.

Nope. The ones posted in this thread look nauseating so I'm pretty sure I've dodged a bullet there.

higher standards and poptarts have never been in the same discussion before wowowowo

Yeah, that's why I added in that second part about breakfast pastries.

I prefer Pop Tarts to that Pillsbury crap. At least with Pop Tarts you don't have to do the extra work of applying the icing to the pastry. It's already on there, expertly and evenly coating the surface for maximum flavour potential.

Meanwhile Pillsbury's all like, "Here, consumer, do it yourself. Don't like it? Tough ****. We're Pillsbury."
