This is unreal.....I am beside myself. When I saw the wide open net with Martinez coming into frame. Time slowed down for me. When the puck went in, I was screaming all over my house.
 
Congrats guys! As someone said on the Devils board before, when we're not playing you, you're such a joy to watch. Deep, talented, hard forechecking, solid goaltending, good defense. Congrats on 2 in 3 years! Definitely savor it. It feels better the second and then the third time. That's why it hurt so much in 2012. Once you have a taste, man there is nothing like it. Can only imagine how the long time fans are feeling right now. You waited so damn long for 1 and you get 2 in 3 years! Dean Lombardi has you guys set up for the long haul. Young, talented, and smart minds in the front office.
 
Thanks you guys! It was fun having you on our side for this series. Stay golden, fellas and I'm glad we were able to make your summer a little brighter.

As a Devils fan, I hold no grudges from 2012, I always had a soft spot for the Kings, especially when I saw the Devils play them in 2010.

The team and management seem setup for the long haul and the franchise has certainly waited long enough. It's good seeing other teams get chances and exposure that other teams have had for so long, it's what makes this sport the best in the world, the variance of any team can win.

The hockey seen played was just nothing short of spectacular, and I just love watching good hockey - something the Kings have in spades.

Well done on the Cup and see you next season!
 
Glad Quick wasn't knocked out the way Price was. There are a lot of Kings players I really like (and one I hate! Williams) and I'm glad to see y'all hoist the cup again. Congratulations - enjoy!
 
Pretty sure some Pens fans were happy to see the Kings win (or at least the Rangers lose :naughty:).

Anyways... Congrats on the win. Good for the fans and deserved for the players. :nod:
 
I also forgot that we both did each other favors with Cup wins: Devils over the Ducks in '03, and Kings this year. I thought maybe you'd repay us in 2012 by letting us win but hey, this year is good enough :laugh:
