Justice has won.

Figured it would be nothing, lacked the head contact and proximity to the boards that the Hagel hit had

Just to keep stirring the pot, I don't think there was anything suspension-worthy about either hit. Hagel maybe should have gotten 2 mins because Barkov never actually touched the puck. But even that I find debatable because Barkov was clearly trying to play the puck but fanned on it. Not sure how the rules work there. So that's my final decision. Nothing for Tkachuk and 2 mins for Hagel. As always, DoPs made a totally inconsistent mess out of it.

I'm guessing both coaches have laid down the law and warned their players not to get caught up in a tit-for-tat battle over this.

This is the correct take.

So you thinks its perfectly fine to check player who never had possession of the puck, I get it its your take, just wondering how in the hell did you came that conclusion

In the not-so-long-ago, that’s what it would have been.
It’s Playoff hockey, baby

this is an honest and legit take.

One player had touched the puck a second or two before the hit, the other last touched the puck 30+ feet from where he was hit. This isn't complicated why one was a suspension and the other was not.

It's fine, get a big lead and then start taking cheap penalties on Reinhart and CarterV when the outcome is certain. DOPS ain't gonna do anything I guess

Don’t like this hit because it looks like he doesn’t even decide to lay it until the other guy has the puck and he knows he won’t get there in time to stop the goal. So he pivots and goes for the hit.

That being said, the hit itself wasn’t enough for a suspension. Cheap hit for sure. And should have to dance next game for it.
