Do they make em anymore. I used to always have Titan wooden sticks back in the day... I've started playing again and retired my old Rubber Response in favour of a wooden stick, and so far I'm liking it a lot better.

I'm using a vintage Sherwood PMP 5030 S.O.P. from 83' right now.. :D and i don't want to end up breakin the thing.. it's a beautiful stick & super light!!! I don't do many slappers, so I should be fine.. but don't want to risk it.

I guess i could just buy a new Sherwood 5030, but it's just not the same.. I'd rather have a Titan stick or another vintage 5030... probably no luck though.

Sher-wood still makes the 5030 .... how are they different from the vintage? I use them years and years ago and saw some on the rack last month and they felt the same to me in the store at least.

call me an idiot, but i don't like the look of those sticks. I was thinking about ordering a new SOP stick, i hope they still do that.. haha. Lettering is too modern for my liking, i wish wood sticks still looked as cool as they did in the 80's and 90's.

but 29.99 and get another one half off at sports check is a damned good deal. ill probably just end up doing that, I just find the stick i have feels much lighter. The Sherwood letters are much thinner which looks way better. and it's a lot lighter in colour. plus the Canada flag is awesome.

had the same 5030 with the "featherlite" logo ......also grew up with the titans ......white stick, red lettering. nowadays i still go for the cheap/moderate priced wood sticks........****......i still have a wood driver for the golf course.

haha, this stick is actually from the 1982-83 New Jersey Devils bench... my dad's friend Yvon Vautour gave it to him before I was born (and got the whole team minus a few players to sign the stick)... had to say because of your username haha. :D

I've only used it a couple times, would feel horrible if I broke it. I hadn't used a wood stick since i was a kid, but i found my wrist shot to be loads better with the wooden stick. my old stick was way too snappy.

I sold a red Titan with white lettering on eBay a few years ago. I had picked it up at a yardsale for 50 cents. It was almost long enough for me to use but I couldn't use it.

It had a printed white signature style autograph thing of Gretzky on the shaft. I got $58 for it as some guy in Vancouver kept bidding on it along with another Canadian guy.

He was a Gretzky memorabilia collector.

The stick even had tape residue on the balde and look a little used but still sharp looking. It was a good looking stick in great shape.

I used to use Titan sticks; when they stopped making them I tried to find something similar - The Koho Revolution 2200 i have is similar; not sure if they are still making them - have one as a spare stick got a few years back (switched to composite a few years ago as my regular sticks). The Koho has the plastic along the bottom like the Titans did (if you lean on stick like i do this helped have the bottom not wear out that quick); also has similar small regular curve and flex that the Titans I used to have for years did.

The other day I ran across some Titan TPM 4020 sticks at the local hockey store, and I was surprised to see those, as I haven't barely even seen any wooden sticks lately. I think these were new and not leftovers from the 80s, as the red color was somewhat brighter compared to how I remember them from back in the days, more of a neon red in a way. But they clearly said Titan TPM 4020, so it was pretty neat to see those again.

cool. I'd love to get my hands on a titan stick again!

Wish I had read this thread before this summer. I have a Titan UltraPro that sat in my basement for months before I used it for signatures this summer.

Ended up picking it, a hespeler, and one more stick that was even older than those two (northlands? cooper?) for $3 who was cleaning out her house and was having a yard sale.
