Maybe due to starting June 4th instead of June 7th like they thought they would.Lots of days off in this series. I get the extra day when teams are travelling but the extra day between games 3 and 4 is excessive.

I remember Nurse saying post-game after game 2 that they were blocking more shots, getting in the shooting lanes but making sure Stu had sightlines. It definitely worked and has allowed Stu to get more confident as each game progressed.I think it’s because management (mainly Bowman) prioritized getting puck moving dman. The Walman pick up has been great. I think he/we lucked into Klingberg to some degree. In general we are spending less time defending.
But I think its also that the coaching staff has made tweaks to protect Skinner. We have cut down on allowing rush plays and Skinner isn’t getting forced a ton to move east/west.
And lastly the players are executing what the coaching staff wants.
Haha … what a complete moron. That person should never open his Twitter account again. Or post anything anywhere online for that matter.
My condolences. Your story reminded me of my dad, but regarding baseball. I was a hockey fan but my dad followed both sports. In 1992, my dad was living with me. I wasn't into baseball after the Expos left but that was the year the Blue Jays were on their run so I watched the games with him that summer. He passed on July 31st at 60 years old. I watched the remaining games that season without him as a nod to him, including them winning the World Series. I'm getting choked up just thinking about it. Sorry for rambling on, but I know what losing a parent who's a sports fan feels like. All the best, want the Oilers to go all the way. Even though I'm a Sens fan, I like the Oilers. They're so much fun to watch. My Mom was the biggest Oilers fan. She unfortunately passed just before the playoffs started but the last conversation we had she told me that something about this year felt different. There is calmness and determination this year that felt just like the 84 team. I know she would be ecstatic to see what we have done this far. Jobs not done yet though. Win this for my mom boys.
I didn’t even realize they got them in fresh water. I’m a salt water fella. Where I live, we r right on Northumberland Straight. Lots of fishingIn Sask, they are caught off Regina's mighty shores by pirates. In Alberta, it's mostly Metis elk hunters that collect them.
NiceIm jamming a gutload in right now !
I wonder how many Oilers fans think Otters actually a bad goalie. I certainly don’t believe he’s bad. You’re spot on about their defense, we had 2 members of their D before so we know, Dallas did not have good enough dmen.Dallas fans complaints about the series, and Deboer are actually kind of amusing. Somehow Deboer was supposed to make a bunch of roster adjustments to make up for the fact that his defense was made up of pylons, and his forwards were old, slow, and soft? The coach deserves to be fired for throwing his goaltender under the bus like that, but not for his entire roster being outclassed by a superior opponent.
I get the impression that the fans over there bought into the pre-series hype that the Stars were a better and deeper team than the Oilers, and their expectations have been brutally crushed and they need a scapegoat.
Gretzky, Crosby, and McDavidHow come the media keeps skipping over FLA losing and then beating Edmonton the year after lol. Or are they only looking at Greztky and Crosby?
It wasn’t a rematch. How come the media keeps skipping over FLA losing and then beating Edmonton the year after lol. Or are they only looking at Greztky and Crosby?
Boys stepped up in his absence last game. 10 hits for Nurse, 6 for Kapanen, 5 for Freddy and Kane. They're all bought in.Still sucks that Hyman is out as he is built for this series. But, I really do think if Stu can hold the fort it is EDM's time finally.
Speaking of moms.. my mom never cared about hockey when we were younger really. But this year she’s got super into it. Watching every Oilers game and watching most of the other games too.
Part of me believes the moms who have passed are up there watching too
Sorry for your loss. My Dad died unexpectedly in January and I miss our calls. He had a deep, calm belief in this years team and loved Draisaitl's game. As a punk kid on the way to Edmonton to see a dominant Flyers teams, my Dad once told his doubting sons that Gretzky would score 5 that night to get 50 goals in 39 games. We scoffed until we shared that incredible history together (and so many Dad/sons trips for Oiler games).
We hold in our hearts that loved ones are watching over this run and still sharing its special moments with all of us. Condolences.
Thanks for the kind words and stories. Let’s do this for all of them who can’t see it happen. Let this be the year of the gone but never forgotten. Once an Oilers fan always an Oilers fan or something like that lol.My condolences. Your story reminded me of my dad, but regarding baseball. I was a hockey fan but my dad followed both sports. Brown has been ready for days. Stauffer said the only reason he was not playing was because he has to finish concussion protocol.Let the swelling go down naturally for the first week, then get a shot of cortisone which artificially takes away swelling and reduces pain... that's how they do it. And it's doable. He could play but with limited use of his hand, which would be heavily stabilized and protected with a cast.
I'd give Brown 14 days of recovery. Back for game three unless Skinner lights it up.
Lots of days off in this series. I get the extra day when teams are travelling but the extra day between games 3 and 4 is excessive.
lolI've watched a few of those, they hate us but they sort of want us to win so they can hate us even more.
That link is CuthbertI'd prefer Jack too but for people conplaining about Chris Cuthbert calling Oilers games... check out how brutal the U.S broadcast is. Holy hell, they call a playoff game like it was golf:
