Ahh if you watch it, Hintz actually had the angle on McDavid, and should of reached the puck at same time, he was also already skating hard, McDavid had to turn and accelerate. He beat Hintz cleanly, even though Hintz was closer, just my opinion but watch it again.

Sign him and mcdavid as soon as the playoffs is over. I could legit see Carolina offering sheeting Bouchard 13 after what’s happened these playoffs. Obviously would be nice to keep the team together at lower cap hits but Mcdavid would be priority

It's worse than just goalies. Whenever the Oilers dummy an opponent everyone just pretends that those teams were never that great. Before each series it feels like those teams were hyped as juggernauts. I almost bought into it this year with Dallas, since they are a similar team as last year only with Rantanen added. He looked good out there but didn't bring it where it counted

It is really wild, at least on hfboards, how the switch occurs as soon as the Oil start dismantling their opponents.

This last round was the most extreme. 'hOw aR3 thE oILeRs gOiNg tO sT0p RANTANEN!!1'... as if we don't have McDavid and Draisaitl...

This is something I've loving about this team this year. This bullcrap where we let goalies get in our heads, and suddenly no one will shoot and we just become obsessed with finding the perfect shot because we think a goalie is unbeatable is over. There is a level of seriousness and consistency in how this team plays now. We can grind down any goalie given enough time with the talent we have.

Yeah, thats what I'm seeing too. They have the discipline and the grit to, as you say, grind down goalies and defense and then they have the high-end skill to pick corners when they get their chances.

Nurse-Ceci pair started the 3 games of pain in the finals too with an absolute joke play by both 3 minutes into game 1. Turning a 3 on 2 into a breakaway by both sequentially chasing a florida forward and being passed around until the 3rd florida player has a breakaway. SO glad we don't have to see that garbage again.

Not quite he said the six d men we have are really good (paraphrasing) but then said seven if you include Stetcher.

Dallas front-loaded their offense, expecting their goalie to cover for their D...which included Ceci, a literal AHL journeyman in Petrovic and their own Swiss Desharnais. And the only "high-scoring" player who seemed to figure out Skinner (albeit a little late) was Robertson. Kudos to him for outshining Rantanen. Funny that Robertson's hot streak started with a goal he didn't even know he scored until a reporter unintentionally told him mid-interview.
