Nuts thinking about to how off guys were most of the season and how we were ~5 minutes from being down 0-3 against the Kings. And minutes from down 3-1 the next game too until the Kings did something stupid to help us both of those games.

This team needed some kind of spark to start playing like they can. A little luck, some guys getting healthy and we were off to the races back to the finals again.

Let's finish it this year!

i was confident from the start. I said before the series started that I didn't fear dallas and that were not as deeps as everyone thought. Much like some people still thinking the Oilers are a two man team, Dallas is living off a repuatation they earned years ago, but does not represent them today. Oettinger isn't as great as everyone thinks and he sucks against the Oilers.

The bottom half of that Dallas defense is bananas bad. Edmonton would be mocked for years if they went into the playoffs with Ceci-Petrovic-Braindead on D.

Imo its more that it took time for the Oilers to get going. The Kings saw more of Emberson, rusty Walman, Kane and Frederic, and the whole team was just limp to end the season. Kane and Klingberg weren't in game 1 too

No doubt in my mind that the Kings have been the Oiler's toughest opponent thus far in the playoffs.

They seemed to have better balance than the other 2 teams.

But yes you're right. Without that last minute Bouchard stick check to keep it inside the blue line then the Oilers were probably done.

I think McDavid saying its been less emotional this time is huge for the group. Hopefully we can put Florida down 2-0 at home to start the series.

Theres a looser air around the team this time. Last season they seemed uptight and weren't having fun. Its different this season. Seeing leon bringing the Campbell trophy back to the locker room was funny. He was waddling like a Penguin.
