Post-Game Talk: Time to finish the story

To the 45 of us with the courage to call this one in five, it was a pleasure to go into battle with you for this noble cause. The rest of you should spend the night with your heads hung in shame !

LA was favored, with way better goaltending. Same with Vegas. Same with Dallas. In every series we ended up with the better goaltending. Go figure.
It helps that the Oilers had the superior defense in each series, without Ekholm. This coaching staff are phenomenal defensive coaches. Oh and the Oilers are averaging 5 goas a game. This just feels like the Oilers time even though I know that beating Florida is a monumental task.

Boys were all business post game

They have that human nature edge of wanting that cup. Florida wants it, but they won it. Something changes when you already reach that goal.

All we gotta do is be undefeated on home ice
Helps to have a McDavid as a cheatcode getting the winning goal when they needed a margin. WE'RE back!!!

Seemed like a longtime though. I'm sure its felt like forever for the players to get back here.

Not bothered by the longbreak, it allows the best SC final possible to take place.

No more then beating us… why do people forget we outplayed them in the finals last year?

Knobs has been in the league for a year and a half and has taken his team to the final twice. Hopefully some of the haters are now clueing in that he is a big picture coach. His constant line juggling in the regular season set them up to have everyone familiar with each other now that injuries have hit and we need to shuffle guys around. He realized the regular season was an extension of the exhibition season, and that wearing yourself out hitting wasn’t beneficial. Pissed me off hearing comments that he was a pu**y, when that is the farthest thing from the truth, and fans wanted a mouth breather to replace him. Right on schedule, the Oilers are one of the top hitting and physical teams in the playoffs. He not only outcoached Cassidy and DaBore, two of the best in the league, he utterly dismantled them with his in game moves and adjustments. Top three coach in league easily, so glad he’s ours. Hopefully he starts getting more love from our fans.
