Post-Game Talk: Time to cut the moustache

Missing the 2 best players in the league and essentially 4 of our top 6, this team doubled up the Stars in shots and controlled play for
most of the game. Losing on .800 goaltending is incredibly demoralizing. Stu Skinner is worse right now than Campbell was when he was sent to the AHL. This team is burning through McDrai’s careers with really, really bad goaltending.
Tbf Stars are missing Heiskanen and Seguin.

I thought it was the first forward back who needs to grab the 3rd attacker? Ryan(?) changed and Perry didn't get back in time
Fair.

Either way was that it wasnt Bouchards fault, he just gets blamed because he was the only Oiler in the picture, similar to how Nurse used to constantly get blamed for Ceci's mistakes.

Get Delia or Rodrigue up here. Let Stu sit for a bit, if he's not too badly injured use the injury as an excuse for him to get his shit in order. Maybe we get lucky and one of Rodrigue or Delia plays like Silovs did for Vancouver last season. Or maybe Pickard takes the ball and runs with it?

How many games has Stuart Skinner now handed the opposition?

I think its too many to count now.

Great effort by Edmonton this game but just terrrible goaltending. My goodness I don't know why they play Skinner so much over Pickard
You know what other team had this level of goaltending early in the season but their GM is actually competent and fixed it? Colorado. They even added at the deadline. How many more chances can Stu get? McDrai would have a cup by now if it wasn't for him. :(

Nice attempt at making a game of it, but they need offense when the game is still close, not when the opposing team has taken their foot off the gas for the entire 3rd period because they were spotted 4 goals by a terrible goaltender.

Not too surprised by the results though. Dallas is a bit overrated, but they're still a good playoff bound team. Fortunately, the Oilers get to play Seattle again next game, another round against a bottom feeder team playing out the string with arguably worse goaltending than what Skinner offers should let the offense actually look effective without Mcdrai once more. I bet the Krakan will be happy to let RNH cosplay as a top six forward again too.

People are blaming Bouchard for his lack of urgency on the first goal against. His skate towards the goalie is a laughable clip that main boards enjoyed. He didn't do much defending all night.
You think hes catching that guy?

Is he supposed to hustle back so he can pull the puck out of the net faster?

Could Rodrigue be worse? I haven't seen enough of the Condors to possibly judge.

just like all our past GM firings, it’ll be too little too late the day he gets fired

caution: decade of darkness 2.0 may be closer than it appears

bleeding assets and talent left and right with a aging team and shit goaltending. classic recipe for disaster
The last three guys they hired were directly responsible for dismantling their previous teams. I'm not sure what the Oilers thought would change about that.

I love having Corey Perry on this team. Pissed off at himself for not going after Rantanen.

This. Get someone else up for a look. See if Pics or whichever guy they bring up can catch lightning in a bottle.
