Hey, I'm depressed (not to mention angry, sad, etc.) too, but you people are REALLY depressing me! Jeez, there is a huge thread about NEXT SEASON already!

So here is a list of some teams that battled through adversity and won games/series I would have bet were absolutely impossible:

1. Jets win at New England a few years ago in the playoffs, not long after the Jets were thoroughly embarrassed there in a regular season game. This game still makes Mike Francesa twitch.

2. US Olympic hockey team, a group of college kids beating the best team on the planet...also not long after they were thoroughly embarrassed by the Russians at MSG.

3. The Red Sox (ugh...I'm a Yankee fan) coming back from down 3-0 after three straight butt-kickings in games 1-3.

4. The Diamondbacks beating the immortal Mariano Rivera in 2001. Ugh again...but it qualifies.

5. The Aaron Boone comeback game...let's restore some order around here!

6. Tim Tebow beating the Steelers in a playoff game.

7. Joe Namath and the Jets beating the Colts in 1969.

8. Carolina with two late goals in game seven a few years ago to knock Fatso and the Devils out of the playoffs.

9. UConn needing to run the table in the Big East tournament to get to the NCAA tournament, doing it...then running the table in the NCAA tournament as well.

10. The Rangers coming back from down 3-0 to beat the Bruins in 2013.

Feel free to add ones I missed!

Good effort!
Have another one: Boston trailing Toronto 1-4 With less than 15 minutes remaining of game 7, and winning in OT. Might not sound that inspiring, but if one is to beat them, belief is a prerequisite. Boston would not call it quits at 0-3, neither should we. These are the moments that create sports history, and they do happen on a fairly regular basis.
What better way to beat them then trailing 0-3 and winning 4-3. They will be in pain for life:)

How about the Bruins losing for in a row a few years ago.

Providence Bruins had 3-0 lead on Wilkes Barrie and now that series is tied.

Nothing is impossible but the Rangers would need to seriously have to up their game.

Who will be our Ortiz in game 4?

SF Giants last year - 3 in a row on the road to beat the Reds. When the Reds had not lost 3 in a row at home all year.

Then 3 in a row to beat the Cardinals. Of course that one did require Hunter Pence to hit the ball 3 times with one swing. We need something like that.

-Daniel Larruso beats Johnny Lawrence in the Dbag/Wrongside of tracks Karate Tourney Finals

-Alexander Alekhine defeats Jose Raul Casablanca in the '27 Chess Championships.

-Tatjana Huefner defeats her German teammate Silke Kraushaar-Pielach for the 2008 women's singles luge World Championship title. It was a luge upset.

-Japan defeats Canada at 2013 Curling World Championships.

-Ben Monson gorged himself on 65 one and a half ounce chicken flautas in just eight minutes, upsetting Joey Chestnut into second place with his miserable effort of just 56 flautas at the 2009 World Flautas Championships.

Well, we already had a puck try to jump out of the net all by itself...only to get knocked back in by one of those stupids from Omega House...

The pucks are on our side!!!

I cannot believe I missed those!

- A free agent willingly signed in Edmonton
- New season of Arrested Development

Anything Can Happen!

Isn't - anything can happen - the play-off avatar? Things might just be going as planned.
Edit: Beat me to it.

If this uncoordinated, vapid looking **** who was once thought to be inferior to Rivers can turn himself into the most clutch athlete in the history of the galaxy, then I suppose anything CAN happen. :D

the NYR should have done that in game 1 of the 2ed round.. they got lucky by beating the Capitals. they werent that great either.. it seems like the Rangers have the worst 4th line depth out of the teams in the playoffs :help:

This post is going to look strange when you go back to a Hayley avatar.

How do you. Manage to forget the Flyers coming back from being down 3-0 to the Bruins only a few years ago????

One down and only three to go. That was the hardest one...now the TEAM believes too!

Keep chopping wood!
