Cool to see former Sens legend Schubert there

Out of curiosity I checked how many point Timmy needs in his next 100 games to stay ahead of Draisaitl.
If I got it right he needs 120 points to tie Draisaitl after 400 games, and 121 or more to stay ahead.

It's possible but won't be easy, even with the increase in scoring. I think Timmy will pull it off, but his lead will likely shrink a bit.

Respectfully, I disagree. Most of Stu’s secondary assists was him making the plays and creating space for the second pass and goal. Saw many times where he used his speed to enter the zone and make the spaces for the eventual goal.
An underrated thing about his game this year is how much his puck handling and speed mess up the opposing defense's structure. A *lot* of the reason we're hemming teams in 5v5 is because of how disruptive we're being with shuffling players around, and Timmy's a big factor in that. Getting mismatches or pulling guys out of position is huge in today's game, and all the great teams do it well.

If you confuse the D or make them desperate they get out of position and it opens up those additional passes.

I agree he is making some good plays but that is hardly "dominating" the game which is what I disagreed with.

Reading that made me realize how absurdly good Draisatl is. Probably the 2nd best forward in the league after McDavid with the sheer offensive output. Hoping Stu surpasses Drai, especially in playoff point production where Drai is an even biggest beast.

That's basically a 99 pts pace per 82 for the next 100 games, he's currently pacing at 109 pts per 82, and paced at 88 pts/82 games over the last 3 seasons, which includes last years down year due to that wrist injury.

Sadly, Timmy doesn't have a McDavid to help him out...

He really has surprised me this year. I thought last year was what he would really look like moving forward in his career......thank god that renting Jacob Chcyrun's house, did not rub off on him with all the negativity vibes.

What made you think that?

Everything prior to last year indicated he was an emerging star.

I think he is a bit ahead of schedule for his Dzone and physical play. He is going to be a menace for years to come and make a large impact all over, a la Alfie.

Why would you think the year he was injured most of the year, would be what he looked like moving forward, especially after seeing his season the year prior.

Timmy’s development has been apparent the past few games.

Spending less time yard saled on the ice looking at the ref, is focused on a complete 3 zone game, and he’s tilting the ice whenever he’s on. A lot more physical, and a pain in the ass defensively, always skating, always challenging for the puck and good positionally.

Offense, it’s amazing to watch. He gets that puck on a string and he’s quick, smart, dangerous. It’s crazy to say that the ‘points will come’ when he’s already way above ppg, but honestly with the creativity he’s showing he could have even more points so far.

His consistency has come a long way. And he’s still so young! This will be a fun several years to be a sens fan.
