Had to laugh. They're talking about what teams should do for the fans.

THen they say nothing, cause just look at the 5 pages on HFBoards about a bruised foot and a dislocated finger.

Gotta love Leafs nation.

I wonder why the sport analysts don't just come out and say they read the boards. I know quite a few people who read here, although very few actually post. Why would analysts not admit to reading stuff here?

I was talking with a Player about his ongoing contract negotiations a few years back - and posted a little bit about what he had said on that particular teams board - within an hour - his GM had phoned his Agent to express his displeasure about their private talks being on HFBoards!

Because they are reliant on being a source of information and commentary to fans. HF is provides all the same information and a 1000x as much commentary, much of which is just as informed and educated as what they can provide. Building up HF is against their interests.

Perhaps I'm overstating it a bit, but HF is still competition for them regardless.

Tim and Sid are great

Sometimes though i wish Sid had some Mary Browns chicken and a coke n' smile to shut the F up...

Especially when he defends MLSE on the Burke's firing and says it was because of his record... Don't be a ''yes'' man!

But i loved his passion when he trashed the CSA after we got smashed by Honduras

The thing the media have that we don't is access, access to practice, to the players, to the coach etc.

Without access they are basically us.

Have you read some of the craziness that gets posted here? Back to Tim and Sid, they try too hard to be funny, and seem to find themselves more humorous than others find them. That horn they use in their show is beyond irritating.

Tim and Sid have a great show. Makes passing the time at work much easier.

I'm pretty sure were on a HNIC intermission once.

I've really straightened myself out since then and try to keep the 'Ryan Miller's got Crabbs' posts and David Naughton references to a minimum.
