Honestly, it wasn't a bad game. Tampa's first goal on the PP was a pass through the slot by Kucherov, but it hit Weegar's leg and went in. Complete fluke goal. But we had the Pospisil kicking motion goal vs Washington, so maybe it evened out.
2nd Tampa goal was legit, but we failed on getting it out of the zone with the puck on our stick.
3rd was an empty netter. So basically the score could have been 1-0.
We competed, but Vasilevskiy was great, but he didn't have to make any game saving saves.
Flames played, but one bad bounce hurt and we chased it the rest of the game.

Thanks for the breakdown Boom!

You can't win games if the team can't generate offense when needed.

This has been an on going problem with this team for years with the exception of a couple of years... and even then they couldn't get it done in the playoffs. This team has zero players who the opposition fear as a scoring threat when they're on the ice.
And you know what?? We're never going to acquire them through trades and continuously drafting in the mediocre middle every year won't get them either.

I predict a 2W-4L record for this current road trip.

Huska reads HF confirmed :sarcasm:
glad to see Solovyov look like he's staying in

Yeah, absolutely nothing wrong with these pairings for the time being. It’s those forward combos they have to figure out. I wouldn’t be abjectly opposed to sitting Sharky for a few, to see if he might be dealing with an undisclosed injury.
