I’ve been singing Hanley’s praises since the very first game he played for us. The Flames have definitely got their value outta that $775k, I hope they do bring him back as the #7.

It's been 8 games, it can take players months acclimate sometimes, which is why so many deadline acquisitions underwhelm, and why a lot of GMs try to make their big adds before the deadline.

He just turned 25 on Tuesday and already has a pair of 20-goal seasons under his belt. He'll improve as time goes on and he acclimates to the new team.

Background game for me while I got the family ready for the evening. I essentially used a hockey game to do what I do during baseball season.

They got outclassed in net there, also with some blown opportunities as well. This team just doesn't have a player who can take over, and that's a glaring weakness with this roster. Like, there's no one you look at for magic when we need it; no one has those skills on the roster.

Being 1-1 on this roadie so far is pretty good considering who the first two teams were.

Honestly, it wasn't a bad game. Tampa's first goal on the PP was a pass through the slot by Kucherov, but it hit Weegar's leg and went in. Complete fluke goal. But we had the Pospisil kicking motion goal vs Washington, so maybe it evened out.
2nd Tampa goal was legit, but we failed on getting it out of the zone with the puck on our stick.
3rd was an empty netter. So basically the score could have been 1-0.
We competed, but Vasilevskiy was great, but he didn't have to make any game saving saves.
Flames played, but one bad bounce hurt and we chased it the rest of the game.

Would much rather see Sharangovich not score with Backlund and Coleman than not score with Frost and Farabee.
