So MacMac, Peterson and Robertsson still injured. Stancl and Fischer healthy scratches…which honestly isn’t surprising. Fischer didn’t look pro ready the one time I watched and Stancl seems borderline too. Where’d Kesey come from though? What’s he good at? I’ll just tag @PerryTurnbullfan as that’s who I’m expecting to respond lol.

Great start for the T-Birds. Up 2-0.

I’m a bit confused, though, because I thought the home team wore white in the AHL.

Up 2-0 in the first….looking good! Dean from Dvo and Luff is back with Peca and Alexandrov.

Alexandrov has been very noticeable to me in a good way. He is clearly a Top 6 forward talent at the AHL pace of play. I hope someday he is able to adjust to the NHL game. It would be nice to see him carve out a career in a bottom 6 role.

I think we all agree Dvorsky has things to improve (skating, etc) on but there is clearly SOMETHING there with how productive he is the A at his age. Whether it’s down the middle or on the wing long-term, it seems like he will be a good offensive player in the NHL in some capacity.

Didn’t see the 3rd…18 to 2 in shots against/for?? I thought the ice was pretty tilted in the 2nd but the 3rd sounds like it was even worse. Were a lot of the shots mundane or was Ellis amazing?
What separates Ellis is that he stops everything and I mean EVERYTHING he should and robs you. I can’t say I’ve seen a goalie let so few stinkers in. He may be the most consistent goalie I can remember and with no panic to his game.

How is Dean looking? He's been back for 3 games now and I noticed he's had 2 goals since he's back: production was something that seemed to be absent from his game since being in the AHL. Is he playing healthy or are things finally clicking? Or is it just a coincidence?

I'm a believer in Zach Dean. I think he would benefit from one more year in the AHL and then start as the 4th line center on the Blues for the 2026-27 season. That's when I believe this team will start to truly contend.

Well played by the Blues front office with Dvorsky. He got a taste of the big leagues while Springfield marked time and now he's finding out what playoff hockey in the AHL is all about.

He should start the season in St. Louis next year. He's just about ready.

Agree with the previous post regarding Dean. Start next year in Springfield and see if an opportunity opens in St. Louis. Another AHL season could be beneficial.

Fierce competition for roster spots at forward next year will bring out the best.
