OT: Thread About Nothing (part # who cares)

Between him and Mark Wahlberg turning his back on the Funky Bunch days, who's going to be providing us with good vibrations now?

I learned about this interview yesterday. Big parallels of the David Lynch interview when he said that Eraserhead is his most spiritual movie.

That seems only slightly more in tune with reality than the last interview given by Syd Barrett.

Y’all can probably empathize better with the idea but my New Jersey based parents (50 years NJ. in Boonton-ish area for 30 years, 20ish in Sussex county, now 65 after 15 years in the North Carolina).

They’ve taken it VERY hard. Leave in two days and just not a single question asked (despite living with them for two weeks!!)

When do you come to get me and what do I have to pack? Where are we staying in Paris? I prefer the 1st arrondissement but if you get a nice enough place I’ll make do near thr Montmarte. I’m excited for our trip!

In Montmarte today, view of the cathedral here. Had a great breakfast there too.

This is our apartment view in the 9th:

I only had one of the boys with us but we had a nice lunch and I got to watch the F1 race and speak with the other two boys so a good day overall.

Similar here. Spent the day with my son. Late morning breakfast, some time with my 97 year old Dad at his AL facility, couple drinks with music and trivia at a local distillery, then home to watch the back nine of the US Open with some pizza and Dairy Queen (the wifes idea). Not a bad day. :)

My daughter who lives in Philly is coming home next weekend so I'll get some time with her. :) THEN, the following Friday, I agreed to do the dad/stepdad/uncle trifecta and go see ....................... Avril Lavigne. They all range in age from 27 to 33 which should be self explanatory as to why her. I have no idea what I'm getting into other than I agreed to wear pink hair extensions. It's all in the name of having fun and creating memories. :thumbu:

That's funny. I don't know what Olivio Rodrigo sings but she had David Byrne make a guest appearance for Burning Down the House. According to my youngest, there is almost certainly no overlap between her fans and his fans but we agreed the reluctant parents in attendance may have gotten a kick out of it. Maybe you will be similarly fortunate? We are heading to Tuscaloosa Alabama next week to take our youngest, our middle son and his girlfriend to see Ringo. Hopefully he translates to the younger ones.

You're going to love seeing Ringo! Like you mentioned, hopefully it translates - it should if they love music. I'll expect a top-notch review. :D
