RIP Pope Francis. We're not Catholic but my wife works for a Catholic newspaper as a graphic designer, so that's going to be an absolute grind at work for the next two days. I think they have some stuff prepared for when he had that crisis a month ago, but you can only do so much.
today is six full months without a drink....at least i got 4/20
For Game 3 my wife would rather I take edibles than drink, because she knows it'll all be out of my system by the time I get back. I also prefer it for other reasons. Sometimes I have more self-restraint when I'm high, so ultimately it's fewer calories. I also feel better than when I'm drunk and I don't have to deal with hangovers most of the time.
Happy Easter to all who celebrate.
We took the kids to Central Park yesterday. My wife made them baskets full of candy, my mom brought eggs filled with candy, and we scattered them around a little area for them to pick up. Then they went into a nearby sandbox and the playground. It was a good day.

The universe owes you big time

There likely is a very specific reason but I don’t think I’m at liberty to say why in this environment.

I don’t care what @Bleedred says, I don’t think Vitek Vanacek’s goaltending is so bad that the mere mention of his name can cause aircraft to spontaneously combust .

I enjoyed most of it. Was just a crazy 6 months. I have been traveling a lot. I don't think I have been home for 30 straight days since November.

Basically it's been a non-stop eating and drinking spree.

With the weather heating up you can get back to fishing and getting outdoors again. At your age you want to keep your weight at a reasonable level. At least make sure your blood pressure isn’t too high.

I've been outdoors for most of that time. It's the evenings that get me

My BP is usually pretty ok. Usually high 120's over high 70's...Not great but usually ok. Last trip to the doctor in March I was 130/78...after visiting Nashville, where everything I ate seemed to be a salt bomb.

And I'm off again in 3 weeks to fish northern Georgia...I literally planned my route based on breweries.... I can't help myself.

How can I not visit a place with this name.

Just eat drink and be merry in moderation. Stay active and don't go overboard. You should enjoy life. I'm jealous you were able to get out of the rat race on your terms. I want you to be healthy to enjoy it fully for a long time.

This is awful, says 0% containment too, ugh...

I live in Lacey. Been without power since 5:45ish last night. Thankfully not much of Lacey has had problems except power outage aside from a building or two in the industrial park. Been sounding like a war zone down here though between sirens and helicopters.

Hopefully this can be brought under control and mitigated. What a mess.
