Solid bar pie. Romeo's Italian American in Freehold

Size 22-26 midges were a go to for me when I fly fished. And even fishing other techniques I tend to downsize gear way before up sizing. I have historically had better success with fish of all sizes using smaller baits and lighter gear.
I am tying #22 Griffiths gnats now.

But I tend to chase hatches. Dry fly fishing is really all I want to do...so I'm almost always matching the naturals. When I fish the upper Delaware I hardly ever blind cast and just target rising fish.

So if they're eating Green Drakes I'm throwing a giant 2x long size #10 and if they are eating tricos I might be throwing a tiny #24.

If I can't figure it out but see rises, I tie on a generic emerger pattern usually in a size #16 like this one ..
I'll usually go to a lighter tippet and/or longer leader before I go to a smaller fly. I typically have a lot of confidence in matching the size of the bugs hatching.

Makes me very sad even though I haven’t been to the park in 5 years. This was my life from 15 to 22 years old. I understand why they decommissioned it though. Hopefully they put in a fun and innovative coaster to replace it.

Oh man the whining about this ride I've seen elsewhere is crazy. It was a fun ride but it's been a brutal ride over the past few years with the thing feeling like a rattling car going down the turnpike at over 100mphs.

Green Lantern was shit too so I'm glad that pos is gone.

I think they'll replace it with something fun, they have cleared so much room in that whole area now with this ride and green lantern and a few other rides all being removed in that space.

Latern I did once and went NOPE. Glad its gone haha. I love Ka but yes, it became brutally rough, 20 years old! So I understand the costs must have been insane to maintain.

Im happy to hear they are refurbishing el toro with new tracking. Once thats done I am definitely going back to the park. Also to try that new boomerang coaster and the jersey devil. Both look great

Haven't been to Great Adventure in many, many years, but will be back this summer. My sister and her family are coming over from Spain for a few weeks this summer and my niece/nephew want to go there. I'm sure it's changed quite a bit since The Great American Scream Machine days.

My family has gone to Hershey Park quite a few times over the years though. Further away, but a nice park with less rift raft and lots of great rides. Wildcat's Revenge is probably the best coaster I've been on. My kids and I only got on it towards the end of our last visit, but were fortunately able to get on a few more times before the park closed. The original Wildcat was horrible - an old wooden roller coaster that shook like crazy and gave you an instant headache. They took the original structure and retrofitted it with a steel track. Great ride.

I like Hershey a lot but it's just too far to go there and back in the same day and thats the main reason I go to great adventure a lot, it's just super convenient and for the cost of their season pass I really don't have any complaints. I have season passes for the year that are way cheaper than one higher priced tier Devils game lol

I still want to check out the American Dream Mall Nick Universe theme park but haven't gotten there yet even though it's even closer than Great Adventure.

Had a wisdom tooth surgically removed on Thursday. Done under local anesthetic. I'll never forget the sounds or the dentist climbing on top of me to get leverage.

Have been coping with ibuprofen and paracetamol only.

This f***ing sucks.

Can’t help but picture the episode where Jerry wakes up and sees his dentist and tech putting their clothes back on.

I'm so glad they put me out for mine. Although they did all of them, plus pulled another one that was too far gone at the same time, so they pretty much had to.

I'm pretty sure I have more porcelain in my mouth than actual teeth at this point.

Brush your teeth kids!

I was scheduled to get sedation, but forget that you can't have any alcohol for 24 hours before the op.

Those two beers I had on Wednesday evening really came back to haunt me. Weren't even good beers either....

British version of this ends in a Benny Hill chase.

Hang in there. It will resolve.
