OT: Thread About Nothing (part # who cares)

Listening to some Jimmy Buffett deep tracks. Never got the credit he deserved a songwriter.

Intentionally leaned into the Margaritaville stuff but the guy can tell stories like none other. Really wish his catalog got more credit.

Little secret that I never admit....I've been to 5 of his shows. The parking lot party at Great Woods in Massachusetts about 15 years ago was one of the most spectacular tailgate parties I've seen.

I think he has a lot of songs with very good lyrics.

I've been undergoing a shift in my music tastes recently.

A month ago I would have said Classical and Country are the 2 music styles that I can do without.

Just 2 days ago I would have said I don't like Country.

But at work we had the Chris Stapleton channel on Sirius and I was really digging it. I even caught myself singing along to "all my exes", a song which epitomized my dislike of Country, though this was the original and not the Brooks version.

Feel pretty weird about it.

At the ripe old age of 38, all that it takes for me to get wasted is one 10mg edible gummy and one KBS. It lasted me the entire Super Bowl party that I went to. Honestly, I'm happy about that. My body can't take ragers anymore and I'd rather not have all the extra calories that comes with it. I woke up in good enough shape to face the work week.

What is KBS? Obviously I am old and out of touch.

It's a barrel-aged stout by Founders that comes out once per year, around this time of the year. It stands for "Kentucky Breakfast Stout"... or maybe it just stands for "KBS" now in the same way that "ESPN" doesn't stand for anything anymore. Either way, it's 12% ABV and very good. Nobody else took one of the other bottles, though. It'll be a nice treat for the guys that live at that apartment.

Next time, I'll just grab cheaper stuff. It's a little heavy for gameday drinking, admittedly.
