I really don’t think there would be daily intelligence briefings on the drones if it was a big nothingburger and solely misidentified aircraft.

Either the federal government knows what they are and they are concealing the origin and intention of these things

Or

They have no clue what they are. Which probably scares the shit out of them.

Or

The drones are a purposeful psyop

But for those that want to pretend they are so much more intelligent than the hysterical masses good for you. You win.

The sad fact is we have no reason to trust anything coming out of the federal government, especially it’s intelligence apparatus.

Which scenario can you do anything about?

Hence, who cares.

I mean, I can't do anything to impact the outcome of the Devils season but I still care about that.

That's just an odd way to look at things.

There's a ton of things out there that I can't control that I'm still interested in.

I don't care about fly fishing, but I also don't start tagging your posts to let you know.

I don't see the parallels in your analogies.

This(drone discussion) is obviously an offshoot of a political discussion. In that realm, nearly every single topic is a waste of breath that has no bearing on me or my daily life.

90% is theater and other 10% is less meaningful.

The actual event that took place, which was a dozen or so large sized drones being reported by an army base has turned into mass hysteria by the dumb populace who now think everything in the sky is a nefarious drone. While dirty politicians trying to take advantage of it by sensationalizing everything for political gain.

Yeah, I will also mind my business until something impacts me or if some sort of concrete report comes out on the subject. Because all we are left with now is said mass hysteria BS and said dirty politics.

And you know it's bad when the mass hysteria and BS doesn't involve a Palat buyout.

Shifting away from drones, but not from the sky, anyone into stargazing? When I was a kid I always wanted a telescope, but never ended up with one. Now I have the disposable income, I'm thinking of getting one. Taking pics of the eclipse reminded me how much I enjoy just looking at the sky. Also, why not have another hobby?

As you saw on my previous post, I enjoy star gazing. My girlfriend got me a Hexeum telescope. Great beginner scope. Only $80 on amazon. I have been loving it! I am on the beach so I have ample space and scenery for it. You can also attach a device that hooks up to your phone so you can capture pics from it.

I captured these

Nice!

Yeah, that's one of the nice benefits, that my gf is extremely interested as well. I will look into that one.

I started going a bit down the rabbit hole on astrophotography yesterday and next thing I knew I would have to spend 10k+ to get what I really want lol. So that may be a bridge too far. But I'd love to get some decent detailed views of the planets and be able to see galaxies and nebulas and such, understanding that they won't look like images from hubble or James Webb. I'd also like to be able to view solar features, so thinking about a specialty scope for that.

I still think it's aliens.

Well, it probably isn't. I'm not sure what it is.

I've noticed what appear to be ''new stars'' that are much brighter. One in the west sky, one in the east sky.

Someone told me they were some kind of satellite or something. They're much brighter and appear to be bigger than the stars, which they're probably much closer to earth.

That's the moon and Uranus.

// I'll see my way out. Tips are appreciated.

It seems like our current foster placement is gonna be for at least six months. That's a lot of time to abstain from edibles. 😭 But it'll all be worth it, and for the winter it's not like we're going to be out and about too much anyway.

Yeah I’ve never been a fan of Conte’s. It’s not even the cheese but the taste of the oil they use. Something off.

Have some friends who love it but you’re better off making the trip to DeLorenzo’s in Trenton. Think they might have other locations now but the original spot was amazing. I forget if the old spot is closed since the main couple retired. But the spinoffs are still solid.

That's disappointing, looks overcooked
I don't mind the doneness. I often order a pizza a little extra crispy...I didn't this time, this is how it came. But I heard so many good things about this place, I figured I should try it since I only live about 10 minutes away.

The building is super cool and they have awesome long bar that has a great old school vibes...the staff seems like they have all been there for 50 years and they were all incredibly nice. I got there around 3:30 and my wife and I were the only people there. Cool place, I would go to hang out and have a beer and pizza again...just the hype didn't match the product in my honest opinion... that's not to say it was bad...it was just run of mill in my opinion.

I did De Lorenzo's in October. I loved the flavor and taste. I'm just not s fan of that cracker crust. Same thing with New Haven pizza...I don't get the appeal of pizza on a cracker.

In my neighborhood in Brooklyn, there's a hidden gem of a pizza place called Korner Pizza. The cheese is a proprietary blend. It has a nice tangy flavor to it, and it melts in a way that you'd be forgiven for thinking you accidentally ordered extra cheese. It's on the soft side for crust, but if that's your thing, you'll be in heaven.

It's also cash only, so it may be a front.

That seems more what I like. I like the pizza I grew up with that you could find in every single neighborhood in northern NJ. The occasional Sicilian slice is not bad either. But it seems to find a really good traditional(to me) pizza is so much more difficult these days.
