I thought it was funny that a Canadian band used an image on their album cover of a washed up and destroyed amusement pier on the Jersey Shore. When I first saw that I was like “Is that Casino Pier after Sandy?” And it definitely is.

I think they started shifting more towards a Thrashier style on Today’s Empires and probably even more with each album?

Pretty much. I think their heaviest album is probably Failed States which is the second most recent album.

The list no one asked for of my ranking of their albums since Today’s Empire:

1.) Supporting Caste
2.) Potemkin City Limits
3.) Failed States
4.) Victory Lap
5.) Today’s Empire, Tomorrow’s Ashes

I’m about 30 mins into the Boudreau interview on Chiclets and it’s absolute cinema. What a great dude.
I feel bad for always trashing him in the past. I was mainly rebelling against the notion that Boudreau is the main reason for the success of the teams he coached and that he didn't catch on (usually) with really good teams.

He definitely proved he was no dummy when he took over for Travis Green, who really is a dummy at NHL coaching.

I also gave him the nickname Santa Claus, which a lot of people took the wrong way and thought I was taking a shot at his weight. It wasn't that, as much as the fact that he looked to me exactly like what I'd imagine Santa Claus to look like if he were clean shaven. He looks like Santa with no beard, no hat and no big read suit.
