That was a wild period of hockey.

I was watching on my phone, on a few min delay, on mute, and for the Jets goal I literally thought my stream glitched or jumped ahead a few minutes. I had to rewind and fast forward several times before I realized what had happened (no play by play to tell me). I cannot believe that wasn’t blown dead, if not for the hit for the ensuing scrum.

Refs have sort of lost control of this one. They can’t start calling stuff now for fear of lacking consistency. So it’s just the Wild West out there.

Martinook seems dead set on tearing an ACL like his buddy tonight. He’s gotta himself in a lot of “tangly” situations.

Most entertaining period of hockey in awhile. Felt like playoffs.

You missed my point.

They have let every single thing go. So if they start calling stuff now in order to calm the game down, that would be inconsistent with what they did before. So either they let the game continue as is, or randomly start calling stuff they weren’t calling before (hence, “They can’t start calling stuff now for fear of lacking consistency.”)

Point being, the game has gotten away from them.
