Panarin was huge tonight. All over the place in the best way
Team needs a whole new coaching staff.
I've been reluctant to move KAM, because the odds of getting someone comparable at his price point is unlikely, but...he's making it difficult. Every night he makes at least 2 or 3 bonehead moves, with at least one of them turning into a goal against. If I were Drury, I'd basically offer him a 2-year show-me contract at his current AAV, and if he declines, then trade him.
GP looked solid.
Kreider and Zibanejad looked like gas (or a comparable word that rhymes with it).
Bread playing like this is good for the team moving forward. He's the best skater on the team, but I just don't think he'll be able to stick around long enough to be part of the next window, and he also plays the position of greatest organizational strength. He's a great player, but I think the assets he can bring back in trade will ultimately prove more valuable than the twilight years of his career.
Move Panarin, Kreider, maybe KAM, hopefully Zibanejad, and then throw the kids into the fire next season with a new coaching staff. Vets like Miller and Trocheck are the kinds of players we should want our young players emulating.

He definitely should have had an assist on a nice setup but it got biffed. Had two good looks in the third.
He didn't super stand out but he didn't look out of place.

I saw those I thought he looked fine. Got a shot on goal I believe towards the end of a power play. I was just curious how the rest looked.
He made a no look touch pass facing the boards into the slot for Brodz that was ridiculous

Yeah IMO he should be stapled to the #1 PP for the rest of the season to give him offensive minutes
The #1 power play is just a f***in joke and while I still contend that the coaching staff isn't the reason for this failed season, they've really shown their asses with how they've handled the adversity, and the power play is just the most egregious example. It's one of the worst in the league this season, it's been bad all year long and particularly bad right now and coaches are still running the same guys and structure out there and saying the same shit that boils down to "we just gotta keep at it!"

yeah that was some vintage Perreault shit right there. Just high IQ, knew where his teammate was and made the play with no hesitation perfect pass that Brodz rang off the post.
He set Brodz up for two good chances on that PP iirc with nice passes

Lmao, I lost my match tonight too. Shot really well (by my standards), but I was playing up a level, and he ran three difficult tables out of nowhere on me.

Othmann actually looks pretty dang good these last few games.
Gabe is gonna be legit, his hockey IQ and vision is excellent and you can see it in just his first NHL game.
This team is far too sloppy defensively and overall in the defensive zone. Constant failures to clear the zone, misplays on breakouts, fancy low percentage plays leading to too many chances against. It's mind boggling stuff happening this late in a season.

I won the first game, then lost the second because I sinked the cue ball on the same shot I made the 8. I never mentally recovered from that.
