Sorry, I was under the mistaken impression that this was a forum to discuss hockey topics. My bad.

Hockey topics ? sure, yes anytime!

This is a cry for attention. You could post about your feelings in plethora of threads we already got.

I don't mind another but what's the purpose of this one?

It's July and you are creating threads on hockey forum, this makes you a very excited fan by default, since no hockey is being played, draft is over, contracts not sorted out..

Unless someone pulls Tiger Woods offseason, this is it, it's called summer !

It’s an infinite loop if we want it to be lol. One side or the other needs to break it.
I think the best way to handle it is if we get another thread started about how unhappy everyone seems to be.

Everyone was sitting in anticipation of whether or not The Hanging Jowl was excited for the next season in July.

Same team, same coach, same system (likely). Only changes were old-school tough guy additions and Tyson Barrie 2.0. No movement on Nylander/Matthews/Marner contracts when they had leverage. What's even the point of Reaves when the team seems to have a policy against fighting and even seemingly body contact? Pretty sure this is my lowest interest level since I was a little kid in the 70s. What is there to look forward to next season that will be any different than the last 6? I honestly don't get it. At the very minimum they should have replaced Keefe (not because he did anything wrong but because it would be the easiest major change - and something has to).
Throw in not cap compliant at the moment, and bang............
Moving Murray will cost a 1st.

Please feel free to troll another team's thread.

Actually it’s one of the more interesting season in a long time. They could win the Atlantic or miss the playoffs and neither option was on the table for the past couple of years.

Zzzzzzzz
Why not post in one of the many offseason threads instead of starting a new thread.
You poor thing. Ignore it if you don't like it. OP has a point.

I scanned through the first page and didn't see anything. Sorry, I don't pay a lot of attention to these forums lately.

I'm pretty sure the team lost leverage on Marner and Matthews on July 1 when their NMC's kicked in without at least a handshake deal (which they obviously don't have).
Like.

Sure OP has a point but you missed mine you poor thing.

When multiple threads are discussing the similar topic ones thoughts are not new thread worthy. Even if some think they are.
And you too can ignore this if you don't like it.

CHEERS.

The new GM has been here for about 7 weeks. When he joined the team it was not a full front office turnover situation. That seems to have been the conditions of his hiring. The president (Shanahan) thinks the team is in good shape and thought the previous GM deserved an extension. Like it or don't like it, that's the reality of the situation. We're riding the front office personnel and coaching staff for this season. They've undoubtedly told BT that the farm is strong and the signed prospects are knocking on the door to the NHL. BT has to give the status quo the benefit of a doubt for his first season here. Unfortunately we'll have to be patient and watch what unfolds as helpless bystanders. I won't be shocked if it turns into a chaotic season even with a playoff qualification. Enjoy the drama.

Don't be too sure.

I know I’ll be excited to watch a couple of games after a whole summer of basically no sports but I doubt I’ll watch as many regular season games as I usually do. The thing I’m looking most forward to is seeing how Knies, Woll and potentially Robertson perform.

I’m not excited to see all of Keefe and the core back. That will change if Nylander is dealt for something good. Key words being something good

It's always exciting watching this clown show organization kick itself right square you know where every summer.

But this offseason has been even more exciting than normal for me.

This is a MAJOR inflection point in team history. There is sooooo much on the line right now. I'm positive something exciting is gonna happen.

I really hope Dubas getting fired was just the beginning of the excitement.

Has this management team been guilty of commiting ridiculous buffoonery before? Hell yeah. And this summer seems the perfect storm of slapstick shenanigans brewing.

The anticipation is killing me.

Huge companies do stupid things all the time, and this one takes the cake. We all know these guys are gonna do something stupid again. We might not know how stupid, but we can be sure it will be stupid.

Waiting for them to do it is almost as exciting as watching it unfold while it happens.
