Great bout. Kassian used all his energy in the beginning and Thornton came back strong in the end. I actually think it was a pretty even scrap with a slight edge to Kassian
What a boring fight... I expected so much when I saw Thornton was involved and the OP said good + long fight. None of those punches really connected and both guys seemed winded after 20 seconds.
-No.
I'd say Kassian got the slight edge. Been a while since I saw Thornton get handled like that, even if only for a moment.

I like fighting in hockey but Kassian is the type of guy that doesn't belong in the league.....4 minutes of ice time is flat-out a joke.
Hockey players that fight are awesome....Fighters on skates is as best tangential to putting the puck in the net or keeping it out.
I disagree. Kassian did his job. Thornton was not skating around and running Wild players. Kassian even invited Thornton to dance earlier in the game and Thornton declined. Thornton respected the fact that Kassian was there.
Kassian was very valuable yesterday, 4 minutes or not.
Kassian thumped Thornton!!
Kassian with the win, but Thorten only proved he had more endurance to hang on for dear life.
incredible respect for shawn thornton, especially when you think of how far he's come. when he first started playing pro hockey with the st.john's maple leafs as a 20-year-old, he was terrible. he could fight a little, but he couldn't skate or play hockey at all.I respect Thornton as both a very savvy scrapper and a reasonably good hockey player. That's what an enforcer should be.

Easy decision for Kassian. Thornton's face has a couple dents in it from his fist.
