Nice! Glad this is done now

What does that leave us with 2.5 million?

Nvm, apparently we only have 600k according to puckpedia, but that has Blumel and back on the roster

Unreal in terms of team-friendliness. Harley kind of cracked here, I would've put more pressure on the Stars but hey, maybe he doesn't want to miss camp.

Don't think we'll regret a bridge too much given Harley shouldn't ever have consistent PP1 time
What makes you think he'll get consistent PP2 time, Spott will just run Miro out there for the whole 2 minutes

Smart of him to not bite on the low-ball eight year deals the Stars had out there. Too many guys are losing out on millions by taking those deals.

We'll know for sure in a few days. The PP1 unit Spott sets this week will be in place until the Stars season ends.

Yeah but it's not a mistake because this is the maximum Cup window chance right now while the 3 kids are on ELCs. Bridging him is the correct call no matter how expensive the next deal is. At that point we'll be transitioning to a more top heavy team structure, which doesn't mean it's over, but there won't be any luxuries sprinkled through the lineup the way there are at present.

Its also ignoring that he is worth more than 4 million before the contract even kicks in.
And Harley's overall point production is going to remain depressed because I believe the Stars higher ups are ordering the coaches to play Miro almost the entire PP because they want to pad Miro's stats to help his Norris chances.

Hey how has he looked this season? I can look at box scores but that doesn’t really tell the proper story.

Is he going to be the long term 2nd best dman on the team?

Probably.

Harley is already their most productive in terms of offense. At 5 on 5, he's been putting up more points/60 than Miro last season and this season. Eventually, he's going to get elevated above Miro on the PP, but it won't be this season because the PP units can't be changed until the summer thanks to some strange law the state passed last year.
