I rarely watch Criminal Minds, usually as background noise mostly, but Thomas Gibson's role maybe the most non descript, boring, mail it in cardboard cutout of a major character I've ever seen on any tv show.

He beat a pregnant woman on set?! And he didn't go to jail for it?

????????????

Not to suggest that there's an "okay" amount of physical violence that you can impart on a pregnant woman (or anyone, for that matter), but kicking someone in the leg is not, nor has it ever been, "beating" someone.

Now fired.

Not surprised by this--Even though the show was an ABC/CBS production

We have seen with CBS in how they handle stuff like this previously

George Eads csi-- was not asked back for the final and Charlie Sheen on two and half men

CBS previously have quietly gotten rid of some actors who caused trouble on the set(NCIS LA was supposed to have a female lead--but the actress was let go. Several shows who most people thought would get renewed were cancelled due to on set problems. It is not just CBS--the NBC show Mysteries of Laura was a border line show that was cancelled due to actor problems)

Liked the show the first 3 or 4 years but around the time Gideon left and they killed off Hotch's wife it went down hill fast IMO.

I work in a criminal law court and the charges against someone will always say "assault by beating" and then when the prosecution and defence actually tell the story of what happened it's quite often not something an ordinary person would call "beating"

My wife watches this show. I have no idea why.

I hate it. Of all the police procedurals, it's got the most pointless exposition dialog, and it's always so sex crime gross.

Watched it for 1 season but found it way to graphic. Still a lot of people really liked it, different strokes for different folks I guess.

It was a good show for awhile but like a previous poster said. Once hotch had his wife killed off, the show jumped the shark. I grew tired of it because it was the same thing over and over, the characters are never in real danger.

I used to enjoy this show. I'll echo others and say that the show really went down hill. I used to be into a lot of CBS shows; they're nothing special but entertaining filler and a talking point with the significant other. From having lots of them to watch every week, I think I'm down to two with Person of Interest ending. NCIS and NCIS LA. Not the greatest shows in the world, but enjoyable enough. And I have a feeling this may be the last season I watch NCIS.

I have the perfect actor that can recreate his role in the show:

Well here in the states even a minor shove could technically be considered battery. But the severity of the battery in question affects the punitive measures. No one is doing hard time for a shove or a kick in the leg.
