I have a hard time seeing how Boone Jenner will get drafted ahead of Matt Puempel, let alone Landeskog.

jenson over murphy?

jenner over saad?

im interested to hear why. i dont think this draft is weak i think there will be a great top 10, the depth is def not as good as 08,09 and maybe even 10 but that can always change as the season progresses

I'm a subscriber to the Hockey News and I think they sometimes they don't know what they're talking about, like, Puempel at 6 in OHL, he should be two (behind Saad), I don't follow the QMJHL and RNH is good and all but everyone is overrating him more than he should be. I'll just do OHL and WHL in my perspective.

WHL

1. Ryan Neugent-Hopkins
2. Michael St. Croix (Don't believe me, wait and see)
3. David Musil
4. Ty Rattie
5. Shane McColgan
6. Duncan Siemens
7. Jesse Forsberg
8. Reece Scarlett
9. Adam Lowry
10. Colin Jacobs

Watch out for Zach Franko of Kelowna, he might climb in the top 10

OHL
1. Brandon Saad
2. Matt Puempel
3. Bonne Jenner
4. Ryan Murphy
5. Gabriel Landeskog

Lol. You say RNH is overrated and then you put St. Croix at #2 on your list. Now that is overrating a player. Having watched St. Croix all year here in Edmonton he is good but I would take 5 guys on the list before him.

IMO there is no way they go with Couturier. There are so few successful top 3 pick forwards that come from the Q. When's the last time a 1st, 2nd or 3rd overall pick forward from the Q actually came to the NHL and dominated for even 1 season?

Couturier should have gone to the OHL or WHL.

Well if Couturier gets 207 points next season he'll match Crosby's last 2 (only 2) years in the Q.

Hard to tell with the Q...

The Q was the only CHL league without a 100 point scorer last year. Don't talk about it as if this were 1999, things have changed.

Regardless, leading the league in scoring as an underager is something that not even Lecavalier did. He didn't even lead his team, and he was a "next one".

Not much issue with the WHL list. We'll see how everything changes once the year is underway. I can't wait to see Nugent-Hopkins though.

WOW IMO a horrible order on the list...in the QMJHL Logan Shaw that high and Phillips a lot lower than him....Beaulieu lower than Andrews and Shaw...I lost faith in the hockey news rankings

for the OHL how is Puempel so lower and Jenner so high, I like Jenner but Puempel is in another catagory here...Alexander Kho... so low on the list, IMO he has the talent to be ahead of Puempel and those two could fight for top ranked OHL guy...

This is just being technical, but Couturier wasn't an underager when he lead the league in scoring.

LOL hall of fame poster eh LMAO...you just lost your hall of fame status with one quote...

Crosby kind of dominated eh...Fleury is a pretty good goalie eh...Lecavalier kind of became a star...u know then the rest like Gilbert Perreault, Mario Lemieux etc etc etc

comments like this show immaturity and lack of knowledge of hockey in my opinion...because you can not rule one league over another, when looking at a draft each league has to be looked at equally and the best talent is the best talent...the QMJHL is no less of a league than the OHL and WHL and to not see that shows me lack of understanding of the game.
