My comment is not about Skinner vs. Bob, it's a reference to a raging argument (somehow) about who pulled their weight more during our SCF run- Stu or the guy who was literally MVP of the playoffs. Somehow, according to a very vocal subset of the board, it's Connor's fault we didn't win the Cup and Skinner should be absolved any responsibility.
huh? not one person said that
holy projection

Regarding game 7 of the finals last year.

Both McDavid and Drai failed to produce a drop.

And Skinner flat out blew the winning goal.

Both of these things can be true,

Saying that, throughout playoffs for the most part, McDrai has been consistently great. Skinner not so much.

The bolded is utter nonsense. This narrative that the Oilers are some bad defensive team needs to die. They are one of the best defensive teams in the league. Skinner has one of the easier workloads in the league when it comes to high danger chances.
Where's the metric for open uncontested shots, cause we have to lead the league in that.

Other teams give up dangerous shots too.

Their goalies save them.
This. I can only assume that some of our fans think other teams don't give up any chances if they think the Oilers are bad defensively (even though they have some of the best D metrics in the league).

I don't think many of the "upgrade our goalie" crew are even wanting to get rid of Skinner. I suspect that most of us want to add someone who can play out the rest of the year and push Skinner, and maybe take over for him if the new guy plays better. Which he likely will, because Skinner is mid.
