What is your argument that McDavid played well putting up goose eggs in games 6 and 7 first two consecutive games pointless in the playoff run vs skinner who let in 3 goals between the two games?

Ekholm was our only goal scorer in games 1 and 2 and it was a very bad goal at that.

Address needs. If you hate the goaltending how can you be pleased with management? What need does Klingberg address? We didn’t have enough depth defensemen?

They have until the TDL to make impactful changes. Waiver wires pickups and other castoffs aren’t going to win this team the Cup.

Klingberg's "reward" is a #5 defender who can quarterback the 2nd PP. We didn't really need that. We sure as hell don't need that over a goalie, proven and reliable #4, and a middle six winger. The same goes for Kapanen (bottom six winger) and Regula (#6/7 D whenever healthy).

Bowman is either opposed to making or unable to make more substantial deals. Neither is good for the org at this point in their competitive window. If Stan wasn't ready to come in and part with good futures for good assets- or if he’s such damaged goods in the GM fraternity that no one wants to deal with him- he's not the right guy, and needs to be replaced Monday morning. Waiver claims aren’t gonna cut it.

The odds of that are extremely, extremely low. He hasn’t been that in literally years. Even if he does get there, his D has never been particularly strong. Why do we need another one of those players in our top 4?

They are going to have $10M to play with at this point between Kane’s LTIR and our existing accrued space. They have the cap now to trade for, at minimum, a rental goalie who is better than Pickard. Why further burn out McDrai by having them need to outplay our horrific goaltending every night?

This should honestly be getting more press too, and no the team wasn't bad in front of him for an entire damn month or something.

They were poor really for the first 3 games of the season (of which Skinner started two of them and has his share of blame for the losses), after that they've played more or less their game, even in that 3rd game we outplayed Calgary and had like two or three goals called back.

His win-loss record is bad, his record against top teams this year is atrocious, his overall stats (save percentage, GAA, GSAA) are all mediocre.

The fact that the Edmonton media won't talk about this is hilarious bull shit, even in some US markets he would taking shit for this and in Toronto or Montreal if they had McDavid ... oooooh boy, he would be getting murdered by the press and rightfully so.

The Oilers have to make finding a goalie at the deadline a priority, this guy cannot be trusted and has taken no steps forward in his game. This is now the second straight year despite playing behind the best defensive structure the Oilers have had since like 2006 that Skinner's numbers are going down.

They won game 6 right- so let’s take that out of the argument. Now you’re looking at game 7. In that game, Bob stepped up and stopped shots from the Oilers best players. Skinner did not. Defending Skinner by saying Bob was a wall against McDavid isn’t the defence you think it is

Yup, one play years ago forces a ridiculous rule to be implemented for a decade. Only the inept NHL would do such a thing. The solution is obvious as well: the linesmen get one more look at it in real time, at game speed, not slowed down, and if they can't tell after 1 look at it, the on-ice call is kept. It's an obvious solution, but the brain-dead NHL would never do it.

It's blatant, and evident by whatever metric you care to use. If you are a traditional guy and just go by the "look/feel" of the game, the problem is staring you in the face. If you are a new-age guy who doesn't watch games and only looks at spreadsheets, the problem is staring you in the face. Skinner is the biggest problem on the Oilers, and it couldn't be more obvious, no matter how you analyze the issue.
