im gonna rant about it again. this is not the spirit of the rule for offside challenges. there meant to catch blatant sh*t. not these things where the guy is 3-4 inches ahead of the puck on a zone entry.
but flashy they were technically offside and the rules are rules I hear you say
yes, this happens many times a game where players are ahead on zone entrys by a feet or two. sometimes the refs catch it some times they don't. but when a goal is scored this human element goes out the window because they need to get this call right but not the other 30 missed things.
they need to revamp the rule to a player having to be like 2 or 3 strides in the zone before the puck.
