I think moneypuck.com chances only went up from 9 to 12%.Game 5 will be ridiculously tough for the Oilers to win. Florida will have last change, an excited crowd behind them, and they will be HIGHLY motivated to end the series. They won’t want to go back to Edmonton for a game 6. We are going to see them at their best. We’ll honestly need some luck, on top of strong play from everyone. If we can push it to 6, you have to figure that creeping doubt will get in their heads.
I’m happy with the season. I’m appreciative that they’ve got this far. I’m happy we didn’t get swept in the final. I don’t want to get my hopes up when it’s still such a long shot, but if we can gut out a tough win in game 5, we’ll have a legit chance to take the whole thing.
We wait.
Honestly it shouldn’t have changed much. Not a big difference between down 3-0 at home vs down 3-1 heading into another teams barn. Win game 5 somehow and the odds would take a huge jump.I think moneypuck.com chances only went up from 9 to 12%.
Because the panthers aren’t used to the travelWhy the f*** are there 78 days between games before and during the Finals, and why is a season of ice-hockey going to end in midsummer?
My hope is that it partially works against Florida. There is a seed of doubt planted, and rather than get right back at it they have two full days off to build tension.Game 5 will be ridiculously tough for the Oilers to win. They had us at 9% down 0-3? :OI think moneypuck.com chances only went up from 9 to 12%.
I would chuckle if the theatrics of Florida backfired penalty wise now that it has a public presence. It's been commented on by at least some media, so it must be bad. It likely won't, but it could.

You need luck some luck to win most games in the playoffs. We didn't get much, if any, in games 1 and 3, and then got a bunch in game 4. Hockey is determined by luck a LOT more than most people, especially huge hockey fans, want to admit.
