Thanks for sharing that. Agreed, it is interesting. I found it a couple hours ago. I also found a Bleacher Report by Steve MacFarland dated August 2, that gave his Best and Worst scenario for all 30 teams. It was one of those " click through 30 panel" things, so I'll not put up the link.

The take away from those two articles are the reality that this team is going to very young. The Jackets are likely to have 4 rookies, and when you add Jones, Murray, Wennberg, and Karlsson, it will likely be the youngest team in the NHL. That spells the possibility for lots of losses up through Christmas. Bobrovsky and scrappy play might hold the fort. But if the primary ingredients of this recipe is youth, injuries and shoddy goal tending, the CBJ will probably be picking top 5 again.

I've been watching this swell of prospects head towards the NHL for a while now and it is exciting to see some of them actuallymake the cut.

Been saying these same things for years, I'm done waiting for our "bright future", win something for a change.

We've always had a bright future, because the past has been a train wreck. But time after time we get crushed when the season starts.

It's seemingly pretty easy in the NHL to go from the bottom to top. Columbus and Edmonton are just special I guess.

Its only deja vu if you were foolish enough to think that all the team needed was forward prospects, or that Moore, Savard, and Erixon was going to be enough.

Columbus and Edmonton are just now getting around to assembling competent D groups. That should help explain your little mystery.

I'm a mix of this and "are you optimistic enough to still be a season ticket holder? yes.."

How about a slogan which doesn't include the words "later" or "tomorrow?" We Jacket fans have more than paid our dues. It is time the league rewards us.

We have always had a player in developmental as a " watch this guy in a few years " type so I am definitely not sold on that. We have been told before to wait for tomorrow. Well tomorrow is now and coming off 27th place. Kind of done with tomorrow s hope or prospect s group is gonna be great reads, as a fan I don t need sold to love my team. yeah definitely no more tomorrow or future slogans, and please don t post that on your forehead

That little mystery has taken the McC family 16 years to crack, and this administration a few. So if nothing else it shows it's either not that simple or that we have a really slow ownership and FO.

And honestly the only reason we're headed down this path is because RyJo came in out of shape and with little interest in playing most nights. That forced him out and brought in Jones, and along the way it also got us a new HC that focuses more on defensive accountability. If RyJo came into camp ready to play, and played hard last year we would still be trying to solve the "little mystery".

I've been a dialed in hockey fan for 25 years, with out a home team for much of that span. Give me good hockey, and meaningful games through the end of the season and I'm pretty much a satisfied customer. The Cavs and Indians will take care of my appetite for post season success, the Browns get a pass as always.
