Rumor: Things Not Left Unsaid 3 - Flyers Rumors and Media Mentions: Never Ending Circles

The Flyers might be in a good position with Winnipeg and Toronto both supposedly interested in Laughton. Berube has been pushing to obtain Laughton since he was hired. IDK if Minten is enough to move the meter. After that, with Toronto, their draft choice bag is slim until next year. It's been rumored that the Flyers are interested in both Kupari and Lambert from Winnipeg. If these clubs are truly interested in Laughton, Briere has a shot at making some hay here.
Risto is another situation due to injury. Flyer here fans may not appreciate him that much but he has a decent reputation around the League. A big RHDs that can play physically are valued in the POs.

I am expectings neither traded. From asking too much, to getting $ back to make it work, offseason is more likely imo

Risto is here for the long haul. They will re-sign him, because they envisioned themselves back in the playoffs as soon as this year and "he's the type of RHD teams covet for the playoffs"...

"We get excited about trading him and thinking about the kind of return we can get, but I'm not shopping him, I'm not trying to get rid of him," Briere said. "He's a big asset for us and it would be a big hole if we ever have to lose him. I really don't know where it's going, but I can tell you, I'm not shopping him. I did receive some calls on him."

I will be very happy if the above was all a lie and Risto is finally off this team and eager to see the diminished returns when compared to what it cost to initially acquire him + years of tutelage.

I hope they are trying to play hard to get, but history shows they are playing stupid.
