I swear Brieresy spends more time on broadcasts talking about a plan, than he does actually considering what the plan is and how they’ll implement it.
The Flyers are a PR/Propaganda organization. They care more about the perception of the organization than the actual on ice product.

Similar to Jerry Jones in a lot of ways and that's not something you want to be compared to.

They've got like very little trade candidates on the roster that teams would actually be interested in.

  • Risto
  • Laughton
  • Cam York
  • Who Else?
I don't anticipate much to be done here, and I don't see them taking on long term salary, If they do a move like that it would be for someone on an expiring contract so that money comes off the books in the summer.

Makes me think that really the only logical thing they can do is with the draft picks they have or in Free Agency, where both have a lack of talent.

I was kind of hoping they would just give Kuzmenko lots of play time and beef up his value to flip him at the deadline, but at this rate he might not even play a game before the deadline.

They don't pump and dump....they devalue and then unload. I expect him to get a few games in, get scratched, and then not get traded or re-signed which makes the trade look even worse.

I'm pretty sure that was the plan from the beginning. Trading two at least somewhat valuable (I think they could have gotten WAY more for Farabee on his own) for cap dumps. They have no interest in trading either of the guys that were obtained and probably no interest in signing either of them. My guess is Pelletier gets his rights traded for a 6th or something and they call it a day.

Or maybe the Martin Jones scenario where they don't want to trade Kuzmenko because there might be an injury at some point and they'll need someone to fill that role so rather than get a pick for him they'll keep him "just in case" so they have someone to play wing in yet another waste of a season.

Of the two, I strongly believe that Pelletier is being pencilled I to lineups as soon as he is here. Another strong work ethic, meat and potatoes player will be given every chance to carve out his place.

Yes, they're going to TRY and realize that what they want to do just doesn't happen.

Yeah when I look at this roster, I definitely see "one big free agent splash away from contention".

This team is run by idiots.

if that was their plan all along then come out and just say that and not this BS rebuilding talk
The signed Tipperino for 8x6.1 but had to dump Frost at 1x2.5 to make room for a free agent signing. There is no long term plan.
