Can't we just admit that stating that "if the Flyers are good at one thing it's developing goalies" was a ludicrous statement?
So the Flyers outbid everyone for JT Miller?
Would they have given him that money if Hart was their starting goalie and Ersson the 1B?

"Actually the PP isn't bad because other special teams are good"Except that even with the bad STs this season, they're only -4 net goals (PP + SH - PPA - SHA).
So the goaltending is a much bigger problem.
"Actually the PP isn't bad because other special teams are good"
Brilliant.
STs are STs, some teams better on the PP, some on the PK."Actually the PP isn't bad because other special teams are good"

"he only made 1 mistake... and even that mistake wasnt really a mistake"Several years ago, my dad was telling me a story about a manager at his work who... well. He was in charge of a service that had been in negative figures for years. Year 6, the loss was the lowest so far - and he proceeded to call it minor, relative profit.
I mean you can simplify and generalize things up a level from where they are and make any conclusions you want. Scoring on the PP isn't important because net goals is more important? By the same logic you could say 5v5 play isn't important, because winning games is more important.STs are STs, some teams better on the PP, some on the PK.
Net goals are the most important thing to watch on STs, are they helping or hurting your chance to win.
Of course, some people here would happily accept a good PP and a bad PK, more exciting to watch!
You can cherry pick phrases to make someone look bad, but that's a reflection more on the "cherry picker."I mean you can simplify and generalize things up a level from where they are and make any conclusions you want. "Insert x thing you said isn't important, it's actually thing y I said that matters".
It's something you do when you don't want to acknowledge the point someone else is making. It's nonsensical and you can argue for literally anything you want.
