I'm not a Byram fan either, but this kind of framing is why you get called a homer. They've both been poor everywhere. A couple of games is utterly meaningless.
Didn't say Drysdale is good, said I want to see more. He's flashed enough to be worth an extended look, given Shaw's track record of redeeming lost causes.

Bryam has played a lot of minutes in Buffalo, after 20 minutes a game last season.

Both have upside, both are ??? whether they ever approach it.
Physically, Byram is bigger and more durable, both are fast.
Brains? Work ethic?

Not holding my breath for trades before the TDL, they're just really rare.
Especially if the Flyers are selling and not making a "my disappointment for your disappointment" kind of deal.

What will be interesting to see is if they are selling even if they're "in the playoffs" at the TDL, like last season. Right now the two last slots in the East are up for grabs:
Tor, FLA, Wash, NJ, CAR, TB are locks, barring a second half collapse
Boston .547, Ottawa .533, Rangers .517, Flyers .516, Pens .484, Isles .484, CBJ .468, Det .467

If they're serious about building a top 8 team, then finishing in the last PO spot shouldn't keep them from making moves to add additional assets.

They are more rare than trades at the deadline, but like, not that rare. Teams make trades before the deadline all the time, it's not difficult.

Lindholm was traded last January, and Zadorov that November. Hell, the Flyers traded Gauthier almost exactly a year ago.
It’s been a year when teams with great expectations need to make moves in order to possibly fulfill them. For these teams, every day that goes by is one that they can’t retrieve. The can’t afford to see if it works out until the TDL.

Turcotte is playing really well. He's good at hounding players & getting the puck to linemates. He's just always injured. Has to watch going up the boards & getting lit up. Takes too many big hits. If he's healthy, Turcotte is a top 9 NHL'er. Doesn't have a lot of value due to injuries.
Welp take Turcotte off the table, he just streaked past the Pens D and ripped a seed under the crossbar. Looked like Pavel Bure, Torts would hate that

Buffalo just needs to scrap it all and start from the ground up. They need a new era to distance themselves from what the team has become. That franchise is a poisoned well

Edmontons got this Draisaitl guy on a contract they cant afford next season we should get him. Edmonton should give up on winning a cup having that much money tied up in a few players.
