How many other teams have had 2 high profile prospects who have yet to play an NHL game publicly refuse to play for their team in less than a year?

He's the most hated coach as voted by the players.

He wasn't a part of the last team of his to win a cup's reunion.

His last real playoff success was 20 years ago.

The list of players beefing with him and the Flyers is huge and gets longer every year.

And you're out here telling us how good a human he is, and that he likes dogs? This is the kind of intellectually bankrupt fluff piece you would expect from someone within the team's tightly restricted media. No one cares that Torts like dogs when most other aspects of his personality are dog shit.
Liking dogs is the default. Now if you're reporting on a public figure who has never owned a dog, hates dogs, and use the word dog as an insult for certain people where he can't always use his preferred word, then that's newsworthy.

Now you can say it is/was misguided but people like Briere & Jones always made mention of Kolosov as a potential piece going forward along with some other prospects when they would do radio &/or podcast spots. So they clearly valued him to a pretty noticeable degree prior to this summer.

I cannot believe Jeff Stoutland was brought up in the same breath as this goof. That's a world class tactician famous for getting along with the entire rainbow of personalities and being open and honest with players.

You cannot find a better example of who gets what it means to act like an adult vs a petulant child.

"Any player, coach, or Front Office person in the Flyers org" (Deady's algorithm) = a completely un-comparable person in another org.

Typically, the non comparable parts come in terms of overall success.
That algorithm might be our only hope against the pending AI uprising. No logical brain can comprehend it without melting down.

Eagles cycle through a lot of OL each year, you think they're all receptive to Stoutland, or does he weed out the ones who won't take to hard coaching?

Now, difference is most NFL contracts aren't guaranteed, or only for a short period, so it's easier to weed out players. I think that insecurity also makes it easier to motivate NFL players, while guaranteed money leads some NHL players to resent being pushed out of their comfort zone (I'll out last the coach).

When you look at the players who didn't get along with Torts, practically all of them played worse away from him, Dubinsky out of league, Johansen a cancer where ever he went and so on.

AV was a much bigger asshole, once in his doghouse it was over for a player (ask Ghost, Voracek, et al). Gallant was such a schmuck he couldn't last 3 years with three different teams.

Everyone seems to be in Tort's doghouse at some point, but two weeks later it's ancient history (unless you screw up again). He's old school in that he likes to push players out of their comfort zone, but he's not a Buddy Ryan or Chip Kelly type bully.
