Bertuzzi is finally healthy this season and has looked great since the Wing’s 10 day ASG break. Allegedly Tampa, Dallas, and Edmonton have interest. Detroit likely retains 50%. Could see Detroit taking on a cap dump in this scenario too, particularly if they find the market soft. It’s all but a guarantee he’s traded - talks have gone nowhere between he and the Wings.

Maatta would be a great pick up for any team looking for depth. Solid defense, has some grit, skating woes overstated. Won’t be expensive but won’t be given away.

Not sure what to say about Vrana. He’s probably the most underrated scorer and skater in the NHL. He was money in the smattering of games he played in for Detroit (22G in 39GP with 15 minutes a night). Unfortunately, he seems to have crossed a line with the Wings org. We still don’t know what precipitated the divorce but it seems final. It’ll depend on the severity of whatever put him in the PAP but I think someone takes a chance on him if they do their homework though. He’ll come cheap too.
Correction: Bertuzzi is not bad, a tad overrated here, but not bad.

The f*** is Vrana doing in a list of "trade targets" here? lmao. Truly just throwing out random names.

Raddysh has grown into a decent PF with more room to grow.
I hope they keep him. At his current trajectory he brings a big return next TDL.

His low-cost next year with regard to cap IMO likely makes him more valuable to move this year if a contender is interested.

A team tight to cap for next year could get two playoffs out of him with cheap contract

I'll be surprised if Crouse is moved this year. Though, if someone makes a lucrative offer, I could see it happening.

I think most Coyotes fans would expect at least a 1st, maybe more depending on expected pick placement. He's an ideal top 9 forward, bringing physical play and a strong motor, and a nicely developing offensive game. I think he's closing in on his peak, probably plays the best hockey of his life starting next season.

To Toronto: Lawson Crouse

To Arizona: Matthew Knies + Alex Kerfoot + conditional 2024 pick

* if Toronto goes to finals in 2023 or 2024 pick becomes 1st, semi finals = 2nd round, other wise it’s a 3rd

That's a lot of garbage for Crouse tbh. We pray for Knies to becomes a Crouse. I imagine they'd be looking at 2023 1st + Knies +

I don't think that "garbage" is so far off what you're proposing though. They could retain on Kerfoot and flip him for a 3rd or 4th, I believe he's owed very little real dollars. Actually im not sure if we even need to include Kerfoot to make it work capwise, with Muzzin ltir'd? The conditional pick I'd be willing to improve it to minimum of a 2nd, and make it 1st if they get to semi's this year or next. I don't think I'd go so far as Knies + 23 1st + something of value.

If Crouse is moved it should be investigated by the league as a shamelessly deliberate attempt to tank.

some scoff at vrana but the guys release is like lightning and has huge wheels
gimme Vrana at 50% retained for the Bruins. Pasta, Krejci and Zacha would get him going.
good idea . vanna's obviously got wheels and a wicked release its just his head thats **** up , which maybe his countrymen can fix . could add cheap and might add up to the player that gets you over the top . i watch him in grandrapids and shots still lightning but having floating issues . send back an expiring cap hit and a pick

That list of trade "targets" makes very little sense.

Crouse isn't on the market in the slightest. So maybe teams are calling. But that doesn't mean he's even remotely available. He's more safe than %90 of the players in the NHL.

The other players on that list range from little to know value. Vrana cleared waivers, and clearly has some off-ice stuff going on. Zaitsev is a cap dump. Raddysh is a stop-gap player who doesn't play a playoff style. What even is this list?

I got a lot of kickback on the Sabres board, but Peterka + Vegas’ 2nd for Crouse.

Lawson is what you hope JJ turns in to, plus Crouse’s contract is what you pray to Ganesh he (Peterka) joins up for.

Hopefully you got kickback for that not being enough.

Crouse is on pace for almost 30 goals on one of the worst offenses in the league. He has a terrific contract that controls him through his prime and is pretty much a unicorn of a power forward. There was a time where he was just a weird 3rd liner with an interesting toolset but he has progressed into something every playoff team greatly desires.

I have his value as greater than Chychrun's.
