I only caught the last half-period or so, but they were playing pretty well.

The more I watch Hanifin, the more I notice how good he is at breaking the puck out of the zone with his skating ability and then moving it to a teammate to set-up the attack. He makes an excellent first pass.

Another aspect to that is that he skates himself out of trouble with relative ease. That was something that worried me about him coming in that he would be too used to skating out of trouble against weak competition. Turns out if he needs to he can do it at this level too.
