The "You suck!" chant

If it bothers you so much, then don't do the chant. You won't be able to stop an arena of people doing it.

but if the minority gets offended by something, shouldn’t they impose their views on others to make them conform as opposed to simply not participating? what country is this?

As stated in the first argument that popped up in the other thread, I like the chant because it reminds me of my days watching college hockey at Northeastern. Especially against a rivalry team.

For a classy organization it's a terrible way to celebrate a goal. Plus, the crowd says "you suck" when we just scored but are down 4-1 still? Also, hearing young children say the swallow part is just sickening.

At that point I usually switch over to "hey! we suck!"

I don't like it. Seems immature. I'd rather celebrate the Devil that scored than spend that time insulting the opposition. I won't tell anyone to stop doing it, but I don't think it reflects well on our fanbase to do it.
