haha, this was funny:

Cutting to their last commercial break, James Duthie says, "Coming up, we'll look at some other names who might be moved over the next 4 weeks"

They show Statsny, Morrow Streit and Stafford...

and then who, to my wondering eyes should appear?

But a 4 and an 8, and a ManBearPig dude.

The player with the third highest THOR rating buddy!

Just my opinion, but I would not be surprised if the Ducks do try to trade Perry as they would get something in return for him as opposed to letting him walk free in FA and getting nothing out of it.

They said Murray has been talking to Poile (about Suter situation) and his advice was to "get it done".

On Kennedy Lebrun said:

That's it.

yea, they were out of time. Not a very informative episode. Seems like they were sitting around saying,

"We need to fill 30 minutes, what can we do to fill time and get decent ratings without nudity?"

"Fake trade talk?"

"Done."

Now on the flip side, the Ducks knowing they will not be able to re-sign him in the off-season decide to keep him anyways since they are looking like a stanley cup favorite and could go all in and go in a win now mode.

He also said he's a RFA (which we know) but seemed to suggest that is one of the reasons he may be available.

I think it could also be the reason we could get more for him than an impending UFA. He won't just walk away, the new team could qualify him, no?

Kennedy is having a down year, but last year he was on a 45pt pace and the year before he was a 45pt player. A 45pt guy that makes 2m and can play on any of the lines isn't half bad. A team that is lacking some solid forecheckers in their bottom 6 will be really keen to get Kennedy.

We've seen the last few trade deadlines how much teams value the bottom 6 guys, they seem to go for more than we'd ever think they would go for.

I can't remember seeing Kennedy kill a penalty, ever.

Even the reputable reporters make a ton of **** up.

he has never broken 3 seconds of SHTOI/G in his career. Basically, he has had to cross from the penalty box to the bench after a 5 on 3 became a 5 on 4 several times

I want to see James Neal play a bit more like Kunitz at even strength if Bennett is lining up on the other side. He has shown that he can do it even if its not his typical style. That role is more important for Geno than a pure sniper is at even strength. Just help maintain possession 5v5 and Geno will eventually make something happen. Neal can still go full sniper mode on the powerplay and its not like he won't get scoring chances anyway.

If we need some physicality/agitation why not go full-Rossi and get Cooke's heir - Raffi Torres?

He's a UFA after this season, he hits (sometimes illegally), scores some goals (17 per 82 games), and gets under the other teams skin. He's a bit more douchy than I'd prefer but he could be really useful in another playoff series against Philly.

I'd love Torres. Sort of a Jarko Ruutu/Cooke mix. Sign 'em up Ray.
