Refs have missed some pretty obvious calls. That chop on Phaneuf's ankle was a clear cut penalty.

The back and forth was just little cross checks and then phaneuf takes a two hander slash/poke/spear on the ankle and there's no call

Ref down low had a perfect view of that retaliation slash on Phanuef. If you aren't going to call that don't call the minor interference. This is what happens when refs control the game vs make consistent calls. Players have no idea what they can get away with... the line between a battle and a penalty has never been more unclear.

Wild have gotten some serious puck luck on two deflection goals, but they probably earned those with all the great saves Andy made.

On the flip side, it would have been real nice if out chancing them on the PK translated to outscoring them on the PK too. We got the better scoring chances on their PP...

Too bad we can't get a 1a-1b centre who has a decent shot. Nashville has a good one locked up for 6 years at a pretty decent price but I doubt they'd trade him for Duchene straight up. Maybe if we added a couple of picks and a top prospect. but..... I like to dream those guys are too hard to get.....so...probably not.
