If we end up with Provorov I won’t complain but the Philly fans at work as well as on my ball team hate him. They are praying he gets traded. They all say he is a perfect number 3 guy that stunted and should not be on a PP.

It sounds similar to what we already have. I liked him in the WHL. I thought he would be a stud. Apparently something hasn’t clicked yet. Maybe a change of scenery would help.

We need a serious skill upgrade, both on D and at wing. Of course all the skill in the world won’t help if the goalies can’t stop beach balls. The Pederson contract scares the crap out of me. I think it’s Blake’s biggest miss so far. The guy has no experience, is no spring chicken and gets 5 mil a year

I think we just need to extend the rebuild until we get that game breaker. The guys we thought were going to be cornerstones are looking to just be complimentary players. Guys like Spence Durzi and Moore have been pleasant surprises. If we could just get someone to manage all of this talent better in terms of offensive forwards instead of just being offensively-unoffensive. Lol

Flyers should be trying to offload Provorov. But he would do great on the first pair in LA.

Provorov on our second pair would be pretty good though.

Anderson - Doughty
Provorov - Clarke
Durzi - Spence

Not sure what we do with Roy, Edler, Maatta, Walker, Bjornfot, etc. Lots of questions next season.

What a f****** awesome problem to have. I am so effing happy that we have to answer these questions on our Blue Line. Our development of our defensemen, is providing a safety net for a lack of development with our forwards.

Although grundstrom AKA Tonka, looked 100% legit tonight.

Blake is a players GM.

He has proven time and time again he doesn't trade or jettison players without real cause. He traded Keumper as a favor to Keumper so he could play in the NHL. He traded Carter only with Carter's "ok". To think he would jettison Iafallo right now is just silly. The guy is loved in the locker room and a responsible player regardless of his point count.

There are a lot of big questions for this offseason, but more than likely, we see pretty much see the same team we see right now, less some UFA's and more players from the Reign.

If a spark of the offense is what’s wanted, I dont see how Blake doesn’t throw 7x9m at Forsberg & hope for the best.

Yes... same spark we needed when they signed Kovalchuk.

Stop fast tracking this rebuild. Let the kids settle in and earn their spots. Grundstrom is an example that they all have some potential... they just need the experience and ice time.

I mean Grundstrom really got the short end of the stick all season. 9 goals in 54 games this year averaging only 10:53 per game. He always looked pretty good but never got much of a real opportunity. I think it was @Raccoon Jesus who called it out frequently.

Grundstrom has a bit of Trevor Moore in him — just drives to the net every chance gets and elevates his game when he plays with better players. I think there’s a chance he could be a top six forward similar to Moore. He brings an edge that we are sorely lacking.

He has off days, a lot, but when he's on, goddamn he's on.....

Issue again is consistency, bring that every shift......and he will get more than 54 games.

I don't think we see Clarke next year, so I would have Roy there. Hopefully Walker goes the other way as part of package for Provorov.

Agree the issue is consistency, but he was still horribly misused this season.

Not once but twice he was benched after fantastic games, including that stretch of 3 goals in 3 games where TM famously said 'sorry you did nothing wrong.' That's when a few of us started really questioning the bullshit 'meritocracy.'

Agree, hard to get consistency like that......but it's also a numbers game, I have no idea who he was benched for etc, but in this series, he wasn't benched, he was injured for the one game, and came back....so it is what it is at this point....maybe this series he changes peoples minds.
