OT: The WC thread, Wild boys in Sweden 2025 edition

Canada - MAF, who is making his WC debut as a 40 yo and Jared Spurgeon who is also a debutant at 35.
Czechia - David Špaček, he played last year when they won the championship.
Slovakia - Goaltender Samuel Hlavaj, who played 36 games for Iowa this season.
Sweden - Jonas Brodin, representing Sweden for the 4th time in WC and Marcus Johansson, who was 4th in last year's scoring race with 6+6 in 9 games. Playing for the second time in WC.
USA - Zeev Buium, fresh out of college and 2 times WJC20 gold winner, 1 time WJC18 gold winner

Austria had the lead 2-1 with a couple of minutes left. Sweden pulled the goalie and Brodin coming up clutch with his second bomb from the blue line in 2 days. Sweden scored 2 goals between 57.41 and 57.53

Johansson on the first line with Leo Carlsson (ANA) and Lucas Raymond (DET). Brodin second pair with Adam Larsson (SEA). Johanssons skating is among the best in this tournament, the bigger ice suits him well. Brodin also with VG skating.

Brodin scored again, third game in a row. He is playing so good right now. First pass always on the tape, so calm under pressure and no mistakes at all. MoJo also very good, so strong on the skates and stays in the lane, blocking shots and strong on the forecheck. Changed line and played with Wennberg and Zibanejad.

USA up 5-1 at 22.55 mark, then just fell apart completely. They let the god damned norweigans get back to a 5-5 tie, but managed to get the W in overtime. Tage with a hatty.

Brodin with another perfect game. It looked like he scored his 4th goal in four games, but it was the latvian player who got his stick on Zibanejads pass. He has 3+2 in four games and is #5 in the tournament scoring race.

Brodin with another flawless game. He and Adam Larsson is a perfect match. Johansson with a beautiful goal, skating with the puck up top and down towards the slot and finishing with a top right corner snipe.
