Montembeault has looked good for the Crunch

SOG 8-7 Crunch. I'm going to call him Monty from here.

Wesley big hit on Wolcott on the rush.

Arseneau another hit on the Crunch end boards.

Woo stripped from behind in his own zone. Skating too slow to carry the puck up the wing to clear his zone. If that's his speed he's in trouble.

Comets way too tentative gaining possession in their own zone. The Crunch just whip by and take the puck. Playing like they have time to make decisions and they don't. Better learn quick.

Shitty blind passing in their own zone leading to turnovers. It's been way too frequent. Rattled slapping at the puck.

Barre-Boulet off the draw got a clean blast from 20 feet and Woo got his stick on the blast in mid air and it deflected over the glass.

Baertschi and Anas 2 on 1. Anas delivered a beautiful pass and Baertschi was robbed.

Top line making things happen and Monty is the difference.

Aside from 2 shifts by the Lind line and 1 by the Jasek line the offense in that period belonged to the Crunch.

1st is over.

Crunch lead it 2-0.

SOG 12-9 Syracuse.

The first line has been very good (aside from the shorty). For the rest of the lines a spurt here or there for a shot and out or a little flurry, but otherwise no concerted offensive thrust.

Teves will shoot the puck with no sense of why except he has it at the point.

Gadj had a good look and was stopped.

Focht had the forementioned breakaway.

Jasek is centering the 2nd line and there wasn't a lot from them to rave about.

Cull has to find a combination from the the bottom 2 lines to come up with a third line that can threaten offensively.
I haven't seen anything that could be called a top defensive line either.

2nd is underway.

Witkowski another runaway train hit on Walker. The guy is a known league dirt bag. Hit Walker right in the jaw.

Only got 2 for charging.

Comets give up another shorthanded chance.

Kielly the stop. Lind hits Monty in the mask going the other way.

Focht has a rebound laying in front and Monty only has a leg on the ice and he can't lift it over his leg!!!! Comets now up 5 on 3 for 30 seconds. The Crunch shoot it down.

Now 'cuse in shorthanded and Baertschi trips him. 4 on 4.

Monty coughs it up behind his net and the Comets can't hit the empty net. Think it was Focht again..

The Crunch get a short 2 on 1 and miss the net. Monty stops Anas in close.

Lind in close, puck goes under Monty, and Walker missed the empty net!

NO. He is just flying around to empty space and 2 of the best AHL setup men in Anas and Baertschi keep giving him the puck in great shooting lanes. He doesn't carry the puck all that much.

If they keep it up and Lind keeps putting pucks in the net it will give the impression that he's a really good center. That just might get him a shot at #3 for the Canucks in place of Gaudette. But the wings he will get in that spot for the Canucks aren't playmakers from what I know.

Another goal for the Crunch. They are allowed to go to the net front uncontested for passes to tip in or shoot home on the doorstep. The Comets D are not very good in taking away lanes or picking up guys going to the net.

The SOG are 18-18 but the glorious open net goals the Crunch passes are creating and the Comets D are surrendering is a huge difference and Monty is the other factor.

Nolan Stevens won a battle on the side boards, came off the boards with the puck took it to the net front and sent it over to ? for a shot that missed the net. Wasted great effort by Stevens.

Shaya has been working for several minutes to identify the missing player on the Comets bench. I've been shouting at him it's Walker, but he won't listen. LOL

It is Walker. The hit by dirtbag Witkowski has had a negative effect on Walker.
