The Top Ten of the 2019 Draft (Looking Terrible)

The top ten of this draft looks really bad at this point - maybe not 2012 bad but definitely notably bad for a modern draft.

I'm sure COVID-19 played a big role in screwing up the development of some of the players selected.

It's not terrible. Cozens is gonna end up being a near PPG player who already has a 30 goal season under his belt. Broberg is gonna be a solid top 4 D, same with Byram, Zegras is gonna blow up again once he leaves the beach.

Dach was already a headscratcher @ 3.

Byram, Turcotte dealt with major injuries. Zegras fell of the table but Broberg is coming along.
Cozens is having a down year but is a good player.

Sure, but the OP talks about how terrible the top ten are and I sort of see it differently. For example, there's 5 guys in the top ten of 2018 worse than Cozens. You can make an argument for 6 in 2017.

Nobody is counting him out but he also isn't likely to be near a ppg player. If I had to predict, when he matures, he is likely a middle 6 F (sometimes wing, sometimes C) who will play hard and get 50-55ish points regularly and be solid defensively.
