Its clear watching the first game of USA in the Four Nations tournament that the NHL has a burgeoning gold mine in marketing the Tkachuk brothers. The only problem is, aside from this week, they don't play on the same team.

What is the likelihood that the Tkachuk brothers ever unite whether it be orchestrated in the NHL back-rooms by the commish or a push from the players themselves (obv they'd play together on Florida).

And is this something that every hockey fan, love em or hate em, wants to see?

Why is that? Things change fast in the NHL and same time next year Ottawa might be the most prominent up and comer

Only a few more years and we'll have the true marketing goldmine, the Misa brothers

Wait...

What’s crazy is that it’s very possible one day team USA will have a 5 man group of

Tkachuk Hughes Tkachuk
Hughes Hughes
If only Quinn or Luke actively played Right D, it's still absolutely possible and would be hilarious either way. At least Brady and Matty Tkachuk actually play different wings. The fact that you could still put 4 of those 5 out without having anyone be playing out of position is insane though.

Is it though? Playing off-wing or off-D isn't that big a deal. It can open up one's game.

Brady won’t be moved unless the Sens have a huge falling off the rest of this year and next. Will he resign in Ottawa in 2028 though?

Brady's a UFA in July 2028, when he probably goes seeking a UFA deal in Florida for family / weather / competitiveness / taxes reasons. Take your pick.

They'd make the cap space. So not all that far fetched, I'd have to think. It doesn't require any machinations.

You know whats better than some Tkachuk's? A few Hughes's. Also the NHL could care less about them being on the same team, in fact they probably prefer they arent. Being on the same team means the marketing is targeted to one location.

There are more Hughes and they collectively are certainly better but as far as marketing? I agree with the OP. The Tkachuk’s are a gold mine. It’s the physical style, the brashness, their prototypical big hockey guy size and attitudes. They are also just easy fits as “bash brothers” as wingers in the same line that cause havoc.

And the Tkachuks smile all the time, like they're having fun. The Hughes brothers are always so serious.
