If he doesn't work, we can trade him later in the season (I guess).I hate this. Lars Eller was near washed when he left us, why would he be any better now?
They're gonna trot him out for 15 minutes a night to be a blackhole offensively and be alright on the PK. It also means Lapierre is getting the boot, which I'd be alright with if they were instead playing CMM or Protas at 3C and giving someone like Miro a shot at wing.
If it doesn't work, he's going to have no value to anyone else. The only bright side is he's a FA at years end, but it's still kicking the can on Lapierre or Miro in the NHL this year.If he doesn't work, we can trade him later in the season (I guess).
He should go back down to Hershey. He has stunk since day one of the preseason.Don’t mind this. Penguins fans seem to say he’s rebounded. What’s the plan with Lapierre now?
And he's putting his recent numbers on a terrible team. You don't mess with a good thing, but on the other hand the third line is clearly sticking out as a weakness.
Not sure Eller would have been my target but I don't think he's washed up either:

I think this also eases the burden on the Dowd line a bit. They done an admirable job but it wouldn't hurt to cut back their minutes some.
Tied for 5th in points on the Pens right now and still a good PKer. Seems like he turned things around there. With him centering the 3rd line it won’t need to be sheltered, which means the Ovie line can get even easier minutes to dominate. As a bonus, no worries about how he’ll fit in the locker room.I hate this. Lars Eller was near washed when he left us, why would he be any better now?
